Sorry if this has been covered but I’ve lost patience with searching around for an answer.


I have recently passed my theory and CBT with the intention of doing MOD1 and 2.


I am now thinking of getting a bike to get used to it a bit more before I do MOD1 and 2 and to see if I actually enjoy riding.


Do I need to buy a 125 or lower or is it possible to buy, say a 600 and have it limited?


That way I won’t need to buy a new bike once I’ve done MOD 1 and 2.

Short answer is a CBT only let's you ride a 125. It's restricted by engine size not power (like an A1 license) so you must get a 125.

Hi Rob, sorry you must ride a 125cc on a CBT. You can't ride anything larger until you have passed A1 or A2 or DAS
