Baldrick Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Anyone rode this route before?Just got back from a weekend trip to Ireland, we went specifically to ride the Wild Atlantic way and boy was it worth it.It's basically the N59 from Sligo to Galway, 200 miles of some of the best roads and scenery I've ever rode on and through. If you're planning a trip to the Emerald Isle then put this route on your itinerary.I'm not a great one for pictures but I will try and upload the 1 or 2 I managed to take. Throttled Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 I did a tour of Donegal. Covering a lot of the roads used in the "Northern Headlands". This last photo was going to include the bike, but it was so windy I was only just able to stay upright and get a photo;Just like Scotland, you need to prepare for 3 seasons in one day. The roads were fine and often very wide to accommodate a side lane for tractors. There was no burger vans, and where in Scotland there would have been a burger van, there was a stall selling potatoes! Quote
