Lincoln97 Posted April 20, 2020 Author Posted April 20, 2020 I want to get the bike started as i love bikes and just looking at it is doing my head in i dont know whats wrong with it the guy said head cylinder but what can be wrong with it Quote
Guest Richzx6r Posted April 20, 2020 Posted April 20, 2020 If you can get hold of the guy who said that ask him categorically what is wrong with the cylinder head as to my fairly trained eye there looks on the surface to be nothing amiss with it but maybe he knows the history of the bike? Quote
TimR Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Bike has NO compression from sound of first video .To do a quick testRemove spark plug Make sure plug lead is out of the way .Place your thumb or finger over the spark plug hole to seal the hole and press the starter .It should be forced off by the cylinder pressureYou will need to get a cylinder pressure tester to get an Accurate reading though.Looks like engine has been stripped at some point .Ie your 'collector 'you bought from has removed parts from engjne ie piston or valves Quote

Guest Swagman Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 According to another post on here there are parts of the engine missing. Quote
TimR Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 To me that has had a new barrel on it as rest of engine is dull chipped etc but barrell section is shiny .So at a guess . potentiallyNo gaskets or damaged gasketsPiston rings not correctValve clearances far too excessive Missing engine internals Quote
