houdini Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 ...well my rear tyre is getting that way, just looking at the profile its squaring off.Now I'm a lazy / tight / daft git with me tyres. Only time Ive changed a tyre on a bike was when I saw I got it down to the carcass So anyway, my tyres are Avon Azzaro st's, gawd knows on mileage as they were on the bike already. Ive done around 2500 on em, still loads of tread, if you know these tyres they've got really deep tread so thats not a prob but it is squaring off. Is it handling worse? no not really, corners okay Ive got a set of tyres here waiting to go on, won em so didnt cost anything. So to cut a long story longer, at some point I'm looking at selling her, do I:A: sell on a used set that are still fairly okay with a brand new set alongside thrown in the sale.B: put em on and use em so they are scrubbed in for the next ownerC: forget about selling it as I got the best bike going lol Quote

rennie Posted June 11, 2007 Posted June 11, 2007 Take your bike out and lean it over more, without falling off, this will "unsquare" the tyres Quote

Guest Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 if your doing roundabouts to 'un-square' them, then do it at 3am, you can go the wrong way round then to get the left side worn too Quote
houdini Posted June 13, 2007 Author Posted June 13, 2007 that did occur to me in a more sober state that only one side would get done, even at 3 am I wouldnt career round roundies the wrong way, oh well spose I better try harder on the corners and leave the dual carriageway in favour on a more scenic routes.
