Nobby8126 Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 Hello, Before I start I am aware that the bike I have chosen is possibly the worst choice possible and you cant polish a turd but..... Next year I am doing a long distance charity ride on my Jincheng chaly 125, just asking what upgrades I should consider to make it as reliable as possible. I will be upgrading the chain and air filter straight off the bat and using a decent mineral oil. Any tips would be greatly appreciated as I'm funding the trip myself so budget is always in mind. Mississippi Bullfrog Posted November 5, 2021 Posted November 5, 2021 How far are you going and what kind of roads / environment will you be riding? If you're doing a long trip then it might be worth fitting one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/403105505115 It's the same chain oiler as the Nemo2 but at a fraction of the price. I have one on my Honda CBF500 which is out in all weathers. When you need to oil the chain you just twist the top a quarter of a turn and the job is done. That might be a good way to keep your chain in good shape on a long trip. Quote
