Fiirst Even bike tour, chose Spain! Help as don’t know the roads or the villages and cities to visit.

Hi, through family reasons we are having a touring adventure .  We are looking for tips and advice on places to visit on a non toll more relaxed road touring from Santander down to Frigilliana, for a couple of nights with family, and then work our way back up the coast taking in Barcelona  at which point we may sadly headi back to port.. OR, have we had such a wild adventure (in our late 50’s (infact one of us -not me- will be having his 60th out there so this is his birthday treat. So maybe if it’s going well we could head across southern france and into Italy!   now to the question - I know nothing about Touring, or Spain, so could any one help with some advice of some not to be missed places to visit in our route south, some amazing roads driven along and maybe other tips for newbies.. (I have the one about padded cycling shorts (tried and tested today). … You may this is too much for first timers.. that’s fine, let us know if we are taking on too much. We should be traveling October for three weeks max, and husband won’t cope more than 150 miles a day.. so maybe we need to add a few months and celebrate Christmas out there too!  Anyway, tips and advice, really appreciated. if yes, can you say what bike(s) are involved, and what experience you have on them.

If you are heading back up from the south, taking in Barcelona, and heading back to Santander then I would suggest that you take in the N260. That will get you from the east as far west as the Pamplona area and is a cracking road.
