After @Bungleaio raised his frustration in a topic he had just written I have added undo/redo buttons in to the editor 

 

If you're working on a computer shortcuts work too 

 

Ctrl+Z = Undo 

Ctrl+Y =Redo 

 

might help anyone if they accidentally delete the text in a post
