Hi, I'm Andy and have just signed up, i bought a very low mileage (600 Genuine miles) 2000 CG 125 last year with the intention of gaining my full licence in time, still kicking myself for not getting licence years ago when I just put on L plates indefinitely on my bikes but never to late as they say. 

This Honda has a niggly engine noise under load almost like a pre ign noise but otherwise runs as sweet as a nut and performs as you'd expect a 125 should, some I've spoken to say these engines can rattle a bit , would be nice if it didn't,  any thought on this would be most appreciated,  tried tightening engine mounts etc, haven't checked valve clearance yet but no noise apart from under load, obviously fresh oil when I got it , did wonder about ign unit but I guess unlikely at that mileage but is old all the same.

Welcome, I would drop the oil and check see if anything in it, new oil see if there is any change.
