JamieRider Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 I bought my 2014 MT125 1 year ago, but didn’t ride it until months after it’s warrenty from the seller so I can’t bring it back to them. Now I’m riding more and doing DAS soon, so I want to sell it eventually for a bigger bike after DAS but need to get this sorted first. Currently the speedometer is in mph but at - 20mph, it shows around 32 - 30mph, it shows around 50 - 40mph, it shows around 65 etc This leads me to believe that it’s showing kmph speeds. I have changed the dash to show kmph but that makes the numbers even higher and completely wrong. Any clue on getting this fixed? Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 Has the previous owner changed the sprockets? A lot of smaller engined bikes are over geared and people change the sprockets to make more usable ratios. This can throw the speedo out. Quote

Is there any way to check if it’s the sprockets? Though, from what I know changing the sprockets would probably throw the speedo out a bit but not change it to meaure in kmph completely. Quote
