Hey all. I'm currently restoring an 1982 bmw r80, I'm trying to find someone in the UK who offers a fork shortening service, has anyone come across this? All help is appreciated

if you only need a little shortning  just slide the forks up in the yokes

Looking at dropping it 80-100mm so I'll need them cutting. I can order the shorter progressive springs in instead of cutting the existing springs which I don't want to do

if you shorten the forks that much it will be unstable   unless you lower the back by a similar amount  

 

why dont you take a hacksaw to the headstock and weld it back on at a shallower angle
