Peter griffiths Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Hi I am having great trouble trying to bleed rear disc brake on 2017 milano. Is there a special way because of the duel braking system ? Quote
RideWithStyles Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Yes, Assuming you mean by your current method is bleeding it dry and no brake fluid coming through? Try it while the ignition is on and the pump is primed. Quote
Stu Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 Depends on the system and how its linked you sometimes have to bleed the rear by pulling the front brake too as they are linked some part of the front circuit may well be linked with the rear. Most are linked via an ABS unit if ABS is fitted which usually means that each circuit can be bled separately but sometimes you also need diagnostic software to operate the ABS pump to get any air out of that too What issues are you actually having? Peter griffiths Posted September 20, 2023 Author Posted September 20, 2023 Hi Stuart, there's very little brake lever just seems full of air I have tried bleeding it the conventional way but still can't get a decent lever. I have tried all this with the ignition off. The front brake works independently and thats fine and the little braking that I have on back brake lever is still operating both brakes but only when the lever is nearly touching the grip Quote
