Kimura579 Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 Does anyone know an insurer that will deal with someone with a previously cancelled policy ? I was with MCE but they’ve gone bust . Any ideas please ? Quote
Capt Sisko Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 (edited) If you were insured through MCE, your policy wasn't cancelled as MCE only acted as an insurance broker and you were actually insured by Sabre Insurance. Your policy remained valid with Sabre until it expired, just your contact point changed. You shouldn't experience any problems because of this. https://www.fca.org.uk/news/news-stories/mce-insurance-limited-enters-administration If however your insurance was cancelled because you've been in breach of contract, i.e. you lied about something on your proposal form, it came out and the insurance company cancelled the policy because of that, it'll be a ring around to see you'll take you on, (not mention probably very much more expensive). Kimura579 Posted January 5, 2024 Author Posted January 5, 2024 Thanks for that , I’m actually after the name of an underwriter that will deal with someone with a cancelled policy on their history Quote

Why was it cancelled/withdrawn ? Quote
Kimura579 Posted January 6, 2024 Author Posted January 6, 2024 Adrian flux weren’t much use I’ll try the other . Thanks Quote
Kimura579 Posted January 6, 2024 Author Posted January 6, 2024 Non disclosure. The broker conflated a number of questions which I misheard and corrected when I called in for a quote on a new bike . Not best pleased tbh . It was a couple of years ago . 1 Quote
