softwarez Posted August 26, 2008 Author Posted August 26, 2008 I'm wondering if a compression test would give more information on this matter? Or even if the piston was naffed.. would it still show high compression?-Also, never really messed about with the power valve.. dont know what to check for on that one Quote
handyandy24 Posted August 26, 2008 Posted August 26, 2008 my exhaust makes that sound when i close the throttle after accelerating hard Quote
rollazuki Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 my CCM only does a ton. Id check power valve is opening fully, assuming the carburation etc is ok, Id guess piston damage. You have got a good spark plug in there havent you?? Quote
softwarez Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 Compression Test:First at 100 PSI, second at 110 PSI. Quote
flipper Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 compression test on a 2 stroke don't mean a great deal.is this a problem that just happened out of the blue? is it possible the ignition timing is wrong? Quote
softwarez Posted August 27, 2008 Author Posted August 27, 2008 Out of the blue yeah... and I dont know to your second question Quote
flipper Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 maybe a power valve cable (if it has them) has broken. Quote
