jacksonbiker Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 (edited) Hello everyone, I'm seeking some advice on motorcycle Kevlar leggings for my wife here in the UK. Can anyone recommend the top Kevlar leggings for female riders, and perhaps share where I can purchase them? Your expertise and insights would be greatly appreciated! Thank you Edited May 16, 2024 by jacksonbiker Quote
Shepherd Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 (edited) If there's a Sports Bike Shop near you, call in so she can try them on. Sizes were all over the place when my missus was trying them out. We went to the Harlow shop on a weekday when it was a bit quieter, and the guy there was really helpful. He wasn't trying to push the most expensive, just asked a fair few questions on the type of riding we do. He did advise jeans over leggings, is about all I can remember - too much other stuff to drool over whilst she was deciding. Edited May 16, 2024 by Shepherd Spelling. Quote
daveinlim Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 Looking online bowtex is possibly a good shout. They are lightweight leggings with AA rating. Quote
RideWithStyles Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 (edited) Sportsbikeshop. click the link at the bottom of the website. J AND S accessories. ghost bikes. you might get very lucky with a dealer. fit is paramount! not much use if its too baggy or tight or the protectors move out of place. Thicker isnt always better for slide protection but it is a decent indicator at first glance. EN 17092, AAA rating is best for tear, seam strength etc. look for well designed but thin level two protectors like oxford microlock and d3o. Edited May 17, 2024 by RideWithStyles Quote
