Brian62 Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 Hi there, I had my bike in the shop fork a new fork seal today. Halfway home I noticed the neutral light started to show in all gears. Can anyone help? Ta Quote
husoi Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 A sticky neutral switch? Likely to need replacing 2 Quote
wastedyears1981 Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 Faulty/Dodgy/Filthy neutral switch. Not sure if you would have the same problem, but my GSF600 Bandit neutral switch sits behind the front sprocket. This meant it got quite gunky from all the gubbings of my riding escapades. I would get false neutrals all the time, and at one point stopped working completely. Just needed taking off and given a good clean with contact cleaner. Been spot on every since. 1 Quote

Bandit 1250 has the same problem. Got fed up of cleaning it only for it to fail after a couple of hundred miles. Ended up getting a healtech gear indicator. That works fine every time. Quote
husoi Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 Play attention that neutral switch is not to just look pretty with a green light. It will prevent the bike taking off with side stand on if you accidentally put a gear on 1 1 Quote

I couldn't run bike in neutral when on side stand to warm up. Had to use center stand all the time. 1 Quote
