Hello everyone from a new member returning the motorcycling after a break of nearly 40 years. Excuse me for going straight in with a question. I have an old green paper licence that says it permits me to ride A classification bikes (I passed the motorcycle test in 1975). Is it still valid or do I need to take further test/s? Thanks, Dan.

If you have passed the full test, and with the age if your test it will be, then you don't need any further tests. But no harm joining a riding school for some refresher training.

And make sure you take a copy of your licence if you send it off for renewal as it's not unknown for motorcycle categories to get removed in the process.

You can check your current licence entitlement via:- https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence

Print of a copy of this as well.
