Like every year, this year too, the Holy Ride took place in Chrysoupoli, Kavala in Greece.
In the afternoon, a symbolic tour took place in the surrounding area
until the holy light came, shortly before the resurrection,
where it was accompanied to the churches of the city.
The noise from the exhausts is part of the custom!

That was excellent @mallllias. I get it now: you're actually taking the Holy Fire round to all the churches ahead of the Easter service. Last year you weren't allowed to, I remember, so the procession lost some of its meaning.
