Old Bike Still Alive.

Funny how the memory works.  Often wonder how my old bikes are faring and if they even still exist.  The few reg numbers I can recall, one has no record with the DVLA -Fizzie DX NWY923P  and my old VFR750 R757KUG which changed owners last in 2012 and is on SORN.

 

I was trying to think of my old Blackbird reg number for years without result and this morning an inkling came to me that the reg number was very similar to my fizzie reg as noted at the time.  So I put in a few combos and low and behold, she is still alive and kicking.

She has had a somewhat checkered MOT history....

 

Bet she does not look the same as when I sold her with 2500 miles on the clock in 2003.  I even used to get her on the bike ramp at work and polish her rear shock and linkages...  Lovely bike but nowhere near as good as the VFR she replaced.

I wish I could remember my early bike registrations. I've often wanted to do the same. I haven't got any pics of them. All my money went on fuel so I couldn't afford the processing for the films.

Wish I could remember my CB1300 number, but do not have a clue.  She replaced the Blackbird.  Ebay pics.  The guy came all the way from Devon with his mate, was going to ride it home and was so excited I had to calm him down and actually make him check the frame number against the logbook and how to inspect the frame for accident damage.  He took one look at the bike and literally started waving £50 notes in the air.

 

 

Not that I blame him, always did like to keep a clean bike..  always kept in showroom condition.

Your bikes look immaculate condition. I can see you would have no trouble moving them on.

The 56,000 miles is nothing for a blackbird.
