Can't afford it mate.... Wish I could. Need to clear some debts off at the moment. I reckon this time next year though I should be able to get one.

Why not use your own bike . £1000 _ £700 pounds is enuff to put your bike back together if shit happens .

Why Roy?

Its not the bike that puts me off.. it's the fact it would be a damned expensive habit... another one!!! In addition to TheWife.... :D

Don't think I'll rush into anything......

Madmally?

A very interesting and valid point. Except apparently for my 'blade, something to do with the fact that the swingarm is bolted directly to the engine casing or something.... apparently a crash can wreck the engine?? I could always borrow TheWifes bike I suppose :D

Hahahahaha.... That will probably be her reaction... :D :D

Mally, I have considered it, but I just could not do that with my current bike.... It's urm... well it's my baby!! Sad, but true!!  Would rather have a bike I don't mind dropping. Especially after seeing a couple of todays accidents!!!

Yes Roy, I have a plan.... Hoping to win the lottery between now and then which might bring things forward a bit!!

Ive done the track bike thing , I found it to be very frustrating and a bit of an anti climax getting off my fantastic r1 onto a gsxr600 srad track bike . Not only is the srad not as fast or as nimble as my r1 . The brakes couldnt cope with days hard riding . Plus , . I tended to go a little bit more crazy on a bike i didnt mind trashing . Thus running the risk of killing my self or hurting someone ells on track ...... For instance ! i over did it a little outoff lodge corner at oulton and lost the back end of the r1 . The bike left the track and into the gravel at about 80mph . i kept it upright right through the gravel and hit damp grass on the other side . i stopped just inches away from a tyer wall upright and headed back onto the track ......... I know in my heart that if i wasnt on my road bike ( and needed to get to donnington moto GP in a few days ) i would of jumped off the bugger in the gravel if not before . Unless you can afford a track bike as good or better than your own road bike . Dont waist your money nailing a substandard bike around a track . spend the 1000 pounds on 10 track days and take it easy and be safer and have ten times the fun . just my piont of view

Agreed there Mally, if i was to go the route of a track bike, I had already made that decision in my head. It has to be as good as my existing bike.

well im back home and a little worried at what i have started.....everyone wants a track bike

mally, when my track bike is worth 360 quid its quite a bit cheaper than my sv, yes its not as quick but i had an absolute ball today. my little 400 was stuffing blades and r1s in the corners just on the straights it was gash....

anyway im sorting the 170 pics i have on my cam now....be back soon
