Has anyone used Redex or a similar product to clean the injectors

on there bike and if so noticed any difference afterwards.

Used some today. Changed the spark plug, oil and lubed the chain too, so don't think I will be able to say much specific about the redex though!

Interested to hear what other people say though...

I use Redex 'Red' occasionally and I find it helps my bike especially if I have some work done on it. It clears all the rubbish. I first used it on the advice of my mechanic and found it to be quite good

I had a slightly uneven tickover (900 - 1400 rpm), so I poured half a bottle of redex in 1/4 of a tank of fuel then ragged the t*ts of it. It ticks over as sweet as can be now :D

think youll find oil additives are a bad thing especially the ones that claim to fix leaks.

Redex is fantastic stuff and thoroughly recommend it :D

They used to say a "squirt" down the spark plug hole (with the plug out!) and left overnight would clear the carbon build up, or certainly some of it, not tried it myself, but I use a similar additive on the car regularly.

never used redex only used stp fuel injection system cleaner.

this worked a treat but i also balanced my throttle bodies in the process and found them to be miles apart boy did i noticed then difference after they were balanced.

if your bike is injected gary give the tb`s a quick look to see how balanced they are.

I have used redex in the past, but be wary it makes a nice white smoke cloud, Especially when used neat (poured into the barrels) and not mixed with the fuel....

so be careful where your doing it....

i poured it down the barrels of my car once, wouldn't start at first, then filled the whole street with a thick grey cloud of soot.
