Hello,

New here so please take it easy. :)

Just passed my CBT bought a 2 piece Alpinestar Vector suit today from HG like this:

Lovely suit, fits perfect however when I tried to slide my Sidi Vertigo boots on I can't zip up!!! Only way to slide on the boots is to take the shin pads out, is this ok? Because my boots offers pretty good shin protection already. Or maybe I can move the shin pads up a bit?

What would you do in this situation?

Hi Jak

Welcome to the forum mate. Drop into Newbies and introduce yourself!! :D

I guess taking the shin pads out would be ok if your boots provide you with good protection... Either that or buy bigger boots.. :D

Hello, thanks for the reply.

If I go up a size for my boots will it offer same calf room and just the increase in foot size?

Have you adjust the boots with the little red clip on the back? Twisting it expands the calf part of the boot and opens pretty wide. But even if you can zip it up like that it maybe a bit uncomfortable. I reckon itd be ok just to leave the shin protection out if youre gona be using the boots.

Yeah mate, fully opened still can't fit in.

I am having the suit delivered for next weekend as they had the wrong matching size jacket in the shop, I will give it a try then.

I am thinking about taking the trousers to get them altered by taking some calf leather out as there are too much leather there and don't really feel skin tight.
