Korben Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Does anyone have any of these trousers and tops that you wear under your leathers that keep you cool in summer?Been thinking about getting some, but wondered if firstly they work, secondly, what brand do you recommend? Quote
zzr lon Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 i wear a all in one suit under my leathers summer one.less chance of it riding up with one piece.got it of ebay for £30 ish and its great (EXTREEM RACING).they wick away sweat and it makes getting the suit of a cinch as its not all sweaty.keeps your suit clean to as you can wash and dry the inner suit in no time.get one you wont regret it Quote
techno Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 The edz stuff is supposed to be the same, but i have jackets that have vents in them. Quote
Guest akey Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I use EDZ trousers and a 'danger rocks' shirt.I dont ride without either, summer or winter as they are very good.It also makes getting those leathers off after a long hot ride so much easier.any good synthetic base layer will work, I used to use Helly Hanson stuff until it got nicked (dont ask lol).EDZ trousers are about £20 if I remember right and worth every penny, mine are 2 years old and still going strong. collier32 Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 ive got a one piece undersuit from extreme racing its a good bit of kit and it does make getting the leathers off a lot easier. Quote
Guest philgale Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 korbs that white top i had on at cadwell was one to keep you cool....they are really good, got it from JJB sports on sale for about 15 notes Quote
MtotheJ Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 Thinking about these too as im getting some leathers next week! Dont mean to hi jack your thread Korben but was wondering if even though they make you cooler ( ) when riding do they make you hotter when stationary as its an extra layer? Quote
Korben Posted May 26, 2009 Author Posted May 26, 2009 That's what I am interested in.... Do they work when you are stationary, or make you hotter.... Quote
Guest philgale Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 the one i have is better when your moving, only time i wore it was at cadwell and didnt spend to much time sitting still Quote
Hoody Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I use EDZ stuff - wicks sweat away and is really comfy. As to whether it keeps you cool, nothing will do that! Wear it as your only under layer and it works well. (ie don't wear a t shirt over top of it!) Quote
zzr lon Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 i think they keep you cooler when stationary as the moisture in them keeps you cool but as said on a hot day bugger all keeps you really cool. Quote
Guest Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I wear Ron Hill Tracksters and a long-sleeve helly hansen type top, both wickable, and both keep me cool or warm.. surplus stuff from my running days.. Quote
