Netmeister Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Woo hoo! Got my first official lid. I've been using a cheap old lazer my dad bought for me when I was a pillion, but now I got my own It's an AGV K4 Gecko. What you think?http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu121/Netmeister87/AGV%20K4/P28-05-09_191802.jpghttp://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu121/Netmeister87/AGV%20K4/P28-05-09_1918.jpghttp://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu121/Netmeister87/AGV%20K4/P28-05-09_1917.jpg Quote
MonkeyKnuckle Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Looks good. I thought that was a picture of you wearing your helmet in your avatar. Quote
Netmeister Posted May 29, 2009 Author Posted May 29, 2009 Looks good. I thought that was a picture of you wearing your helmet in your avatar. Ah yes it was! I had to chuck it in because I found my peripheral vision was slightly impaired. Also it didn't rate well in the SHARP tests, darn it! Quote
Guest Mr Miller Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 Nice looking lid you got there, fella!I thought that the pic in your avatar, was you in your 'Texas-Chainsaw-Massacre-style-wearing-Barney's-head-as-a-skin-mask' days! Quote
Netmeister Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 Whehey! Great minds and all that I have to ask, how long does it take to give, right now after about an hour my forehead is killing me where is hasn't broken in yet. It's quite bad because I didn't even want to put it back on to come home this afternoon Quote
hYpYz Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 maybe you have picked wrong size if its that bad...you should do twin visors conversion on that helmet m8:D it would look better:D Quote
Netmeister Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 Looking to get a tinted one in the near future, saw one in the shop and looked mint!I know it's the right size because the dude in the shop made me try a few different sizes, he was confident the small was right. Just gotta give it time to fit my pea head. Quote
dudiz Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Netmeister - I haven't worn the lid enough for it to brake in yet, only done my CBT in it at the moment fella. It hasn't caused me any isssues though and I have used it for a few 3 hour stints. I bought a medium myself. Quote
Colin the Bear Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Your helmet is a vital piece of safety equipment. If it doesn't fit it is useless or worse. Hitting yourself on the head with a hammer will give you a headache too. Much cheaper. Never mind it will make a nice ornament when you replace it for one that fits Quote
Netmeister Posted June 1, 2009 Author Posted June 1, 2009 Spoke to a guy at my Bike Safe day yesterday and he assured me that the polystyrene has a 'memory' feature to it, and will eventually shape to my head, so just have to be patient Quote
