  1. I've had a similar problem to you before, do you have a long jacket? I used to do long rides and be bone dry apart from my stomach area, it was weird. the water was getting blown up between my trousers and jacket at the front either off the tank or straight up. either wear your trousers higher, or secure your jacket down at the front to stop the water being blown up it. or tuck a plastic bag or something into your waistband
  2. if you think putting a jacket on is a bit of a faff, you have a whole new understanding of the word faff coming when you try to put on an all in one rain suit over leathers and boots. jacket looks nice though, refreshign to see some gear that isnt black!
  3. I got my over trousers from a military surplus store, reasonably breathable and very waterproof for only about £25 i think. they also sell matching jackets but in either OG or black i didnt think id risk it. as cool as OG looks, it makes you damn near invisible on the bike.
  4. my workmate has recently had one of thes ebought for him by his stepdad. Im in a mixed mind as to whether theyre a good idea or not though i havnt really done any indepth reading about them. I know for sure though that the cold rainy autumn morning ride to work will end with me just wanting to get inside really quickly and then POOF! i forgot to untag it's exploded on me....again. not sure if it would affect it - but coming from skiing and biking i was always taught that if you have an off, just relax as much as you can. as hard as it is to do when flying through the air you have a much better chance of coming out with less injuries if youre limp. Does this jacket stop you from doing that or does it just provide extra padding?
  5. Moo, 2 things, 1) your photobucket account name made me literally lol. 2) maybe consider taking a saw to the old lids and doubling the size of the visor opening so that the plants inside get more light and a bigger chance of growing out of it. you could always reattach the visor to make it look more helmet like afterwards. or you could try adding a few extra smaller holes all over the lid and then train the plants to grow through those to give a more even coverage. cover the bottom up with something and fill the lid with soil and you can plant the plants at an angle, they dont mind and they will grow upwards once they establish themselves. (plus youll want a hole in the top to add water)
  6. sad to hear that youre not having the best of days moo, hope it picks up soon. your post did make me chuckle however in highlighting the swearing filters downfall on this forum, you got away with a lot of shit before it seemed to realise and kick in (that is assuming it was filtered by the website and not you finally succumbing to a guilty conscience about all the potential innocent eyes that may read that post)
  7. thanks for the help anyway, that breakers site is definitely going to come in useful in the future!
  8. that site is a goldmine! it looks pretty good yeah, Do i have to take the pins off the old one that the caliper slides onto and attach them onto the new one? how is that done?
  9. The problem is that its snapped in half Idiot me tried riding off before taking the disc lock off (yeah i know, havnt stopped kicking myself. Worst part is my new disc lock with reminder cable is due to arrive soon) Rode about half a foot, and BANG stopped dead and bike toppled over. picked it up, looked it over and saw the footpeg and front brake lever snapped off, brake looked fine in the dark though so rode home but the ABS light never went out. I've replaced the lever and will order some footpegs soon, but I've just taken the caliper off to have a look and seen that its snapped in half. its snapped just below the lower bolt hole. I was pretty lucky i rode all the way home (20 odd miles) and only when rolling backwards into my drive did one of the pads fall out and leave me with no useable front brake. my questions are, where can I get a replacement? and What is it called so i know what to ask for? I could take it down to honda, but after paying through the nose for a lever last time, i hate to think what theyll charge me for this, even at "mates rates". I thought i had seen a few sites posted on here that did loads of spares for bikes, but i cant find anything at the moment, and google isnt turning much up. or, anyone got some metal machining equip that could make me one up? thanks in advance!
  10. this sounds promising. is it some sort of pay to enter thing or is it just meet at ace cafe then ride down whenever wherever you want?
  11. well at least it wasnt the slow lane... nob of yesterday goes to whoever didnt cook my KFC for long enough and ended up giving me food poisoning today. migraine and relentless throwing up all day (i admit, it can be argued nob of the day goes to me for buying KFC in the first place, but i've never had any problems before)
  12. having a listen now. nothing since waking the fallen has really made me think wow, pretty damn cool from these guys though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcF8nCyahWw adrenaline mob - omerta (full album) though it was the first song that really got me interested when they played it on the radio. for the even heavier metal fans - http://grooveshark.com/#!/search/song?q ... Pikemaster (cant get a youtube link to work in my country!) kalmah - pikemaster off their seventh album seventh swamphony. a return to form for kalmah to me, this album is killer!
  13. unless the thieves know it has a tracker on it, so they take it off, then we've just wasted a lot of money. some people genuinely dont want to find their bikes after theyve been stolen - chances are its been ragged around, dropped, crashed and had a lot of damage done to it. Its much easier for the insurance company to say ok then, so its gone, here's £xxxx for you to get a new one.
  14. that was awesome! my friend went over in practice week this year and had a great time, loved every minute and got up extra early to get out and ride the track every morning. says even after seeing it he still cant believe what those riders are doing. great video edit, puts a little more perspective on it!
  15. Muchly enjoyed this, cheers - will be adding to a playlist on Spotify if they're on there. Thought I'd mention a band who are pretty chilled, awesome metal like this too; Karnivool. I missed the opportunity to see them in London a couple of years ago, still gutted!: Let Moo know what you think. Also, full albums on YouTube ftw - useful when on a computer at work on my own but not allowed to download Spotify! yes very much liking this, thanks! lead singer reminds me a lot of the singer from Trapt though this stuff is a bit heavier than what they used to do.
