Hi All Dragged the bike out of the garage after six years. Battery was shot so put a new one on and have a problem with it in that turn ignition on and ignition light will stay of for maybe 10 seconds and then fade out. Put the multi meter on the back of the ignition switch and had 12.5v for maybe 10 seconds and then it died - same story with the regulator. Is this likely to be a short or is it the regulator? either way i`m not that good with electrics and this bikes had a lot of messing about over the years with wrong colour coded wires being replaced so not looking forward to working on this one. Hi Just saying hi as joined today - spurred on by needing advice on one of my old machines (I will post that later today). Have 2 bikes - an old Triumph T25 and a bit newer Yamaha diversion. At present just getting the T25 back on the road after 6 years in the shed! Piers
