  1. Finely finished the old girl. Don't think it's to bad for a 30 year old bike. Was a sorry looking restricted jap market £170 garage find. Spent a few bob and sorted out loads of repairs but have enjoyed bringing it back to life. The hardest job was getting rid of the restriction. The predator exhaust was a real find and sounds great.

  2. I have overhauled the rear caliper on my gsx 750 es. 30 years of crud etc didn't help but now all ok after a good clean of the pistons and new seals and pads but I now have a weird problem. The caliper is not central to the disc and 1 side of the new pads won't go in as the is not enough space even with the pistons all the way back. Can anyone help or know why this has happens. When I changed the pads 1 side was right down to the steel and the other side was not to bad hence one piston was fitter out than the other but that should not be the problem as the pistons are all the way back

  3. Plugs were fine, I have replaced the fuel line as it didn't look to good but fitting the new what a pig. Suzuki could not have put the inlet in a more difficult place and angle. Didn't want to remove the air box and carbs just to get a new line on but managed to push and twist on a tight fitting injector type hose and got a ty wrap on it. Hope it's all sorted now as I have had enough getting the bike sorted out and just want to ride her knowing mechanically everything is done and sorted.

  4. Stupid question but were do I find the tank breather hole. Just had a thought, I covered the fuel cap in a fake carbon fibre stick on cover as it was looking poor. Have i caused the trouble. Also just realised I left the breather hose disconnected to the air box, will lift tank off again and re connect. The only hose points I can find on the tank are the fuel, the one behind it that conducts to the carbs and another on the other side that is connected to the fuel level unit. There is no pipe connected to this section

  5. Well I changed the breather pipe for something stronger and re routed it and changed the fuel pipe and re routed that as well. The fuel piick up point was a pig to fit as suzuki has placed it in the 1 place you can't get to without swearing. Took her for a blast down the motorway and had no cutout problems so hopefully cured. Dam rocker cover is leaking now, I spent hrs polishing it up and had a very small weep from 1 cam end but now its letting go badly so that's anther job for sat morning. Hopefully a bit of gasket sealer will do the job but hey doing up old bikes is never easy.
