  12. looks like that will do it. when i take the downpipes of theres a fair bit of space. thanks
  13. thanks Tango, will try first actually. i need to buy some files any recomendations??
  14. ok get the point lol. will drop in at the garage at some point see what they can do. ive seen those easy out sets but the bolts that small i reckon it would bust.
  15. That won't work, it's just for soldering, save your money guess that answers that lol thought it might not be good enough
  16. what about that burner would it be hot enough and sorry as ive never done it before what do i weld with. for example with a soldering gun i would use soldering wire. what would i use to attach the nut to the bolt??
  17. would those little ones on ebay do? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SOLDERING-WEL ... 2323bbac1c
  18. makes sense but i dont have a welding torch and never used one. not sure if by the time i bought one i could take it into the garage. would the weld be strong enough those engine bolts get stuck solid.
  19. as the title suggests one of the bolts has snapped that bolt on the downpipes to the engine block. its been like that for a few months and even passed its mot. theres about an inch left to get hold of ive tried but failed. im going to take it to a garage soon but if anyone thinks they can help its much appreciated.
  20. Think this is a good idea my old one had this on and it looked knackered but still didn't leak. I only changed it because the hanger was rotten and fell off lol
  21. Well just went to snakes pass on mine today and weather wasnt great but I was still fairly warm. I think there a good alternative to leathers.
  22. Hi be good to get a few of us together soon. Im stuck tomorrow working. But keep us up to date will be out again.
  23. Usually its two pipes to loosen and a bolt where it hangs on the main frame. You need to un bolt the fan take that off and any themostat bolt that maybe on it. Might sound difficult but its very step hy step. U could get a haynes manual or see if anyone local can help. After putting on the new radiator you need to refil the coolent. (Sorry empty coolent first usually a bolt to undue ro drain. If not sure again you could ask a garage or ask one of the lads near to you on here.
  24. Have u checked all the coolent pipes that their not punctured or coming off? They may of come loose after a knock. Off the top of my head new radiator will be around 100-150 but fitting is easy. I believe some can be repaired which may be cheaper.
  25. will give mine a try out tomorrow thanks everyone. hopefully wont be trying them out too much if u know what i mean!
