Ok guys ... Just bought some clear indicators for my bike to finish it off. Looking at fitting the front units I have clear bulbs coming out of the original with orange lens' Nothing wrong with that except that the bulb holders are the style I would expect for break/side light. They have bulbs with TWO pins on the base. Obviouly with clear lens' I now need to swop them out for orange bulbs but to my knowledge I am not going to be able to get orange bulbs with tqo base pins. Any suggestions how I can make them orange. Thought about paint but that seems wrong! There must be a way round this or why would clear indicator len's be sold?

OK, silly question time. During my taking apart and prettying my bike I removed the coolant. I need to replace this now. Silly question one. Do I replace it with special glycol ethylene for bikes or will any antifreeze product be ok. Silly question two. I notice that my bike has a bleed nipple in the coolant system (left hand side by the ?water pump?). Do I need to bleed air out after re-filling?

Cool... was impressed with with £94 comprehensive with no voluntary excess. Only been riding two years.

Does anyone know anything about this insurance company? Just got a quote £30 cheaper than my current insurers renewal quote. Not heard of them though. Any issues that you about?

Unfortunately, the police won't be interested in your owed money, it's a civil matter. Next stage is to make it official and send him a letter before action, here's a sample https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consu ... rt-action/ I know that the police wont give a monkeys but it freaked him so the thought of police being called may force him to cough up. small claims court will cost us more hassle than it's worth ... I have a feeling that the TAX man will cause him a bit of trouble though. There's always a way to exact revenge ... mwahhhahahaha!

No way would I tell you that is was Justin Boss Hydrographics from Lawrence Weston Bristol. Oops! I shouldn't have said that!

He's not given us the £150 deposit back yet ... but we gave him 14 days to return it or police will be called. He got a bit spooked by the thought of police. I suspect something dodgy with his business. There is one other place near me but they are twice the price. £650 estimated quote - final figure can't be given until job is done! That worries me.

September 1st I dropped my fairings and tank off at a small business in my local area and £150 deposit to start hydrodipping. The guys said will take seven days, is that OK? Fine I said. A week without my bike but it will look better afterwards. And to be fair, he will be cleaning the panels, sanding the panels, base coat spray black on all panels, dipping all panels and then lacquering. Seven days isn't too bad. A week later I message him, how's it going? Finished yet? Still waiting on the film. His supplier assures him it will arrive tomorrow. Dissapointed but, these things do happen I suppose. Another week goes by and I message again. How's it going? Finished yet? Couple more days. I have to dip the tank again. Made mistake and want to get it right for you. As the weeks went by the excuses continued. Had to order more film. Film arrive folded. Supplier resent wrong size. Eventually after five weeks I told him ... Next Tuesday I am collecting my fairing. Finished or not, I am getting them. Thought this might get his arese in gear. Tuesday came which was six week to the day that I dropped them off. Wow! He hadn't cleaned them. Poorly sprayed black base over most of the panels. Outline of where decals used to be were visible. (I stripped the decals before dropping them off) A bit patchy in places but no dipping. Nothing! not a single piece had been dipped and he says, not my fault you chose a film my normal supplier don't stock! WTF! It's my fault? Is that what he is saying? Now time to think about sorting this out.

If the bike starts on a bump and you get the long ride in, as Adam has suggested, then you shouldn't need a new battery. My battery went flat once when I left the parking light on. Bumped it and rode home about 20 minutes, and she started again two hours later no trouble. If the battery keeps going flat for no apparant reason then maybe you would need a new one or investigate a possible short draining the battery. Personally I doubt there will be a problem though.

Wow! That's a good price. I decided to paint straight onto the pipes in the end. I treated with Kurust then sprayed straight onto the pipes. Looks good

I will have to give it a brush off EAB. There are some crappy dust like particles at large. I don't know It makes me sad

I have taken the tank apart ready for painting prep and the petrol float is seriously rusty. Now, do I; a) treat with Kurust to prolong its life b) leave it as it is c) replace it Cheapest option preferred I have alreasdy spent far too much for the wife's liking EDIT: Added a phot in case it helps.
