  1. Now I'm worried. I have a kwak and thinking of getting a BMW in a couple of years.
  2. Hotel california as you've never heard it before. Intonation on the electric guitar a bit suspect at times but still amazing. http://vocal.littlethings.com/a-cappell ... rformances
  3. Good point guys ... Hmmm. What could the subject matter be. As interesting as it might sound Moo, I wouldn't be able to return to my current job that easily if I left.
  4. Thinking of wrinkle spaying the cans. The downpipes are all flat black from header to can, would be nice to wrinkle the cans. I've sprayed one can and parts look ok but parts are very flat. Not very consistant.
  5. Excellent. Thank you Bob.
  6. Now that would be a dream job ... I might have been tempted myself if I knew what the hell I was talking about. I meet all requirements apart from industry experience. I guess that is the most important though. lol
  7. I am starting to peel off the fairings and prepare them for spraying. On the back of all of the front fairingI have a thin piece of foam. What is the purpose of this and if it is removed, parts will be hydrodipped, can I just glue any thin piece of foam back in or even leave it out? I don't suppose it does much to reduce noise so I wondered if it might be something to do with heat protection for the plastic against the hot engine! Is it necessary is what I am asking?
  8. Like all of us, I have a few who piss me off with their constant whinging ... family usually. My pet hate, and these do get deleted rather quickly, is the semingly ubiquitous posts like: Status: That's it, I've had a f**king nuf! they can go to hell! friend: What's up hun? You ok? OP: I don't want to talk about it on here. Hmmm ... why the f**k did you mention it then? Attention seekers. And the other one that get deleted super quickly is the running f**king commentary on their daily activities. I don't give a f**k that you have just brushed your teeth and now you are eating breakfast before going to M&S to exchange that pair of trousers that your mother bought you but in the wrong size ... and now you are getting off the bus that was super busy and what a miserble bus driver ... I dont give a shit! But apart from that ... I like facebook
  9. Has anyone used wrinkle paint? If so what are your experiences and how have you managed to get a good even wrinkle finish.
  10. Excellent. Thanks Stu. Ollie, if you have time let's meet up. Say hi over a coffee or something!
  11. As always, thanks guys. Apparantly B is the pickup coil cover. What ever pickup coils are? You are right, Bob, C is the alternator cover. Seems like they are all safe to take off.
  12. OK. So I know that under cover marked A is the clutch so I know I need to empty out the oil before removing it. I also know that under cover marked D is the front sprocket and I can remove that without emptying the oil first. What about covers B and C? What is under those? I assume that is the crankshaft so Need to remove oil first. Am I correct?
  13. Happy Birthday, Sir.

    WOW!

Few things get a WOW from me but this is super impressive. ">
  15. I have a little access panel on my ZZR which is supposed to make changing headlamp bulbs possible but to be honest, it turns out easier and quicker to remove the nose cone.
  16. No, but she is the third straight woman to tell me that if she was a lesbian she'd happily get it on with my wife. I'm sure there's an opportunity I'm missing out on here... If I were a lesbian I'd happily get it on with your wife! If I knew your wife that is.

    Exhaust primer?

Going to be taking off the downpipes sometime over the next week or two and giving them a bit of TLC. They aren't too bad but as you can imagine, they have a bit of rust on them. I will brush them off with a wire brust and rub them down to get rid of as much of the red stuff as I can but I realise that not all of the rust will be gone. I wont to give them a primer coat before I paint with VHT matt black paint. What would you guys suggest as a good product to help keep the rust at bay that will also cope with the high temperatures of the exhaust system? This is my top coat: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VHT-SP102-FLA ... 19ff18952e And I was thinking of something like this for the primer: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VHT-SP100-FLA ... 19fd06520d What are the chances of this holding the rust back for at least the next couple of years?
  18. Funny how these things happen. A mate of mine split up with his girlfriend when he was 19. That was nearly forty years ago. He hadn't seen her since that day but often spoke of her. (Secretly, I think he never really got over the split. It was his first real love ). Anyway, a few months ago he bought something from ebay and decided to collect in person since it was local. Anyway, who should open the door?
  19. The A2 licence restricts you to motorcycles of up to 35kW (47bhp), and you must take your test on a bike of more than 20kW (27bhp). This is open to 19-year-olds and older. This means you could ride a 650cc or even 750cc as long as it is restricted to below 47bhp. There are furrther rules thought like a max 94bhp unrestriced. So my ZZR600 for example could not be ridden. Suzuki SV650, CB500 or Hornet 600 are examples.
  20. Surgy? Hmm. That might not be too good. Well, I think I have sealed it ok so hopefully, no 'surgy' engines.
  21. Think I have sorted it. I found an old piece of clear tubing that just happens to fit into the black vacuum pipe. I cut a small piece, about an inch long and prized it into one end of the black tube them into the other end. I think it is sealed. What is the worst that will happen if there is a slight leak?
  22. ... so after I remove the vacuum tube what is the best way to seal the vacuum again. Any idea's?
  23. I am pleased that they are the same thing Mr Fro because the right hand drawing was my wiring diagram of the left actual rose. I think the second is a spur off of the first. Two roses in one larger living room. Three if you include the wife! I was paid to say that
  24. Sorted. And the lights work Thanks.
