  3. sorry didn't see this post ...

I'm off to Squires in 30 mins.

Aiming to be at Beverley race course by 5.30.

Will pause and check phone ( about to put number in contacts)

    then I'm off :D :D :D

Edit....  not got access...texted vicki to let me in contacts, but she has my number anyways

I always leave things to last minute

  4. If cars sit in the outside lane and dont moveover they should get done if seen not people getting pi$$ed off and undertaking!

just don't mention outside lane of a motorway aaaaaarrrggggghhhh

    *goes to calm down*

    sorry :D

  5. jeeez I need to get from one side of Hull to the other in "rush-hour" traffic.

    If I didn't filter

    (yelling outa-my-way idiots)

    I'd never get anywhere

Sorry only kidding about the yelling ... well sort of Kidding

In Hull motorbikes can travel in the bus lane but you have to be so very careful of cars deciding to left turn and not checking their mirror

I was taught - rightly or wrongly- that you can only filter on the right hand side of a lane of traffic. In other words never "undertake" as that is illegal.

I am aware mopeds especially do it because that it where pushbikes travel, but I think that is more scary than bunny hopping down the centre.

  6. So youre saying that a Fazer is for the old, infirm, arthritic person out there? Hmmmmm Keithy?

Not the way I ride the fekin thing !!!!!

 All I'm saying is that I struggle to ride sports bikes because of the position. I love the look of them.

I have great fun on my Fazer and would only change her for a Fazer thou or a Busa with raised bars.

ROSIE! A Busa? You little devil woman you

It is the other halfs, but he has two and the one he is working on at the moment is now 1400 engine and lots of other stuff.. I would love it but-- I struggle with the wide and low - for me - handle bar position. So he is going to put some different bars in it and let me try. IF i can have as much "fun" on it as I do my Fazer then.... well as per other post good job I have a new Arai

  7. I voted yes.

I would always wear my Helmet when on my bike.

The reasons being - as have been previously stated....

As a Nurse with 27+ years experience in the NHS - I'm damn sure I want to vegitate dribbling from every orifice in some Neuro ward until I die from neumonia.

The very thought gives me the shivers

If folk want to "feel the wind on their face" get an open face helmet FFS.

AND ok there is talk about civil liberties etc etc, but again as mentioned what about the drain on the NHS having to look after you?? and also the anguish to your friends and relatives having to stare at you withering away while you shout incoherant obscenities at them???

EVEN with a helmet the above cannot be guaranteed not to happen, but at least you have attempted preventative measures.

(where's the edge of that flippin soap box gone 'til I get off  )

    Are you sure?

If you have a serious head injury that left you seriously brain damaged YES.

When I was newly qualified I worked on a ward that was basicaly a vare centre for people like that.

That example is true and I don't want to be like that... ever :(

  8. um, none of those :(

I got my bike because of the riding position. Fazer - more upright - My arthritky neck and wrists won't allow me to ride a sports bike for long periods.
