Have you tried fitting a new spark plug?

Bought a new spark plug 3 days ago mate.

I don't know if the bike is derestricted or restricted yet and I've heard for the restricted version you mean a brg8-9 max and for the deristricted version you need a brg10 plug?

I have the brg10 plug so this might be the incorrect one that's causing the problems?

 

Maybe but I wouldn't have thought so, if you've still got the old plug give it a try see if that makes any difference

Will downgrading the sparkplug to a brg8 or brg 9 cause any harm even if I'ts deristricted and needs a brg10?

How did you manage to get it running again Ginge and are you sure you didn't trap any fuel hoses when you put the tank back on?

All's the running problem was when me and me dad fitted the exhaust he didn't make the gasket we used correctly so it didn't fire up.

There's no hoses trapped from wheat i've checked and i've checked them several times.

When It's coldish there's no powerloss at all but when it get's to sy 55c or above it losses power only at revs 3000 rpm and below?

Since i got my aprilia rs125 running again it failed an mot ,and i also noticed it keeps cutting out when I'm either downshifting through the gears to a stop or setting off from 1st gear.

Could it be that the mixture screw needs adjusting on the carb?

I haven't touched that but that is the only thing i can see it being as there's a powwer problem too where i can't get passed 40 mph full revs just won't go past it at all?

Sorry to sound inpatient but i need this sorting before monday asap plz because of the m.o.t,any help greatly apreciated

how long did you leave the battery charging for? i only ask as my CBR did this when i first got it and it took over 4 hours of charge to get her started as the battery had gone so low!

I ended up needing a new battery as it had damaged it by being left to stand in the shop with no charge for so long!

I only left the battery charged for say 2 and a half hours max 2 times yet still nothing, just needs that extra bit and it would of started.

Hi all

I bought an Aprilia rs 125 a few days ago and everything was fine started no probs at all, but ast night and today it just won't start?

We've tryed charging the battery,cleaning the spark plug,takn the spark plug out to see if it's firing and it was,had little bumps to try an get it working but nothing?

It seems as though It's flooded as it nearly starts but just doesn't get there.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as the m.o.t is ready and booked for Tuesday, just hope i can get it fired up again so i can get it running.
