Cheers guys, got another one planned in May. It's between Snowdonia or down the Jurassic coast, should be another decent vid out of it

Thanks mate. Yeah it's pretty decent round there. Planning on another trip up to Snowdonia soon, I drove up there once and remember the scenery is stunning

Hey guys, Uploaded a pretty cool edit of a ride I did last weekend up to the Brecon Beacons in Wales. My mate joined me on a Harley Sportster Forty-Eight, which is a beast of a machine! The footage I got was pretty cool, so for any of you that may be interested, check it out below. It includes some stylish overtakes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTY9Bs9NrnM

Just up the road from me, would be rude not to attend!

MOD 2 Pass !! :)

Congratulations matey! -
I've worked in insurance for a number of years, now as an Auditor and I still don't get it Basically everyone starts with a base premium i.e. each product car/bike/van insurance has a base premium that the insurer charges per customer. Then it gets complicated. As you fill out your quote, most (not all) fields are rating factors that carry a specific loading that's then multiplied against your base premium. Once all the loadings have been multiplied and things such as IPT (tax), add-ons, commission (broker fee) have been added, you arrive at your final premium. Each loading (rate) can change daily, sorta like the stock market but it's amended by the insurer I guess. I agree it's an absolute ballache though!

If you can, check out Interlaken. It's an awesome place

Failed Mod 1 Again - Anybody Else?
Pittsy replied to coldphoenix1's topic in CBT, Test and Advanced Training Information
I second this. I failed my Mod 1 (quite spectacularly) due to nerves mainly, being too tense and feeling rushed. The second time round my examiner made me put it in neutral after each maneuver and I took my arms off the bars, sat back and took a couple of deep breaths before doing the next part. Made hell of a difference and I flew round with 0 minors. -
Rant Machine MOD2 Tomorrow...

Hey man, I'm 27 and hadn't ridden a bike before I did a free taster session at the start of October. After the taster they advised me to get the CBT and theory done and once I'd done those two I was already hooked and the obvious choice was to proceed onto the DAS. Passed all of that a few weeks ago and haven't looked back since. Highly recommend doing DAS over just a CBT. I feel way more comfortable on my 600 than I did on the learner 125. Good luck with whatever you decide to do

Last night amidst the howling wind and rain, I wondered whether the weather was an omen for my pending mod 2 test the following lunchtime. Fortunately, today was a bloody lovely day where I laid the demon of my mod 1 failure well and truly to rest with a first time mod 2 pass with only 3 minors. (2 were for taking the 'racing line' through a national speed limit country lane...oops!).. The test itself was pretty straight forward and seemed to fly by. I got a lot of useful tips and tricks from this forum and reading others experiences helped me prepare mentally for the test, so for that I'd like to give a "thanks" to everyone Now for the fun to begin..after I get a bike of course! -Craig
