  1. That it? Replace the oxygen sensor then It's in the cylinder head. http://www.bike-parts-honda.com/pieces- ... F+125.html Part number 11. Buy a new one and fit it, or plug the one you have back in properly after a clean. Try that first as it might just be a dodgy connection. Edit - Where the exhaust comes out of the cylinder, it's above it going into the head. Make sure it is connected and try and remove it, once out, clean it and put it back in then reconnect it. Job done.
  2. That looks like a lock even I could pick. Junior hacksaw blades or street sweeper bristles and a bench grinder are all you need to make a range of picks. Dead time and an aisle full of padlocks at the store I worked in one summer meant I taught myself. Can be useful at times, picked a lock shut to secure a cabinet at work overnight when the key could not be located recently Security is only as strong as the weakest point, but also about deterrent. So I wouldn't worry unduly
  3. Got an app for the phone. Now booked in as well. Not for a while, but I can't do Mod1/Mod2 until the summer because of work anyway... That and I'll need to get some money together
  4. Cheers. I thought that was the case
  5. I never did a theory test for the car as I passed 20 years ago, before such a thing existed. During lunch I was chatting with a colleague who is of a similar age. He did DAS or similar some years ago, and never did a theory test, despite their being one. I was saying I need to do theory and he was questioning it. Currently on a CBT and 125. Reading around, I think I am right. But I don't want to spend money on it if I don't need to
  6. Mine turned up. Haven't played with it much. What I have found out is if you hit speed bumps fast it dumps all the video into the event folder The mounts weren't suitable for my helmet, so I stuck it on the indicator arm. As there are speed bumps at my work, I guess I need to learn to slow down or it will think I have crashed each day
  7. Just ordered one of them. Figured for that price is with investigating Will see what it's like when it turns up...
  8. This morning: 1400 rpm then to 2000 for about 5 seconds, settling back to 1400.
  9. I'll look at what mine does in the morning. Pretty sure it doesn't rev that high. But it's not going to do it now after being in the sun all day
  10. Interesting. Looks like the main frame of the bike is moving as much as the front wheel. Optical illusion I guess as the mass of engine and rider is much greater than that of the wheel etc. Remind me a bit of Jones bikes. He does away with the spring in favour of titanium flex.
  11. My thoughts entirely Making for interesting reading
  12. Where are you? Perhaps we can recommend somewhere good. My instructor was amazingly good. Just about the polar opposite of yours
  13. Lol feared -> geared Though perhaps appropriate in some way
  14. That's exactly why I asked for a feared bike when I did mine
  15. You'll be fine CBT is training. They'll help you through it
  16. I have that and an very happy with it. Cheap, but not nasty
  17. I use my school's bike sheds. So on that front what about something like this?http://www.bikedocksolutions.com/prod_name/bds-40-space-bike-shelter.aspx Just not using the internal rail system to make moving bikes around easier...
  18. Yep. Good timing as I needed a new set Bought one for £80 instead of £160
  19. Perhaps if you cleaned some of the crap off it you could see what was going on... Not to mention the fact that any crap will interfere with the engagement with the notches that represent each setting in the drawing.
  20. https://www.alpkit.com/products/gourdon-20 I have two. One yellow one for the bike and the missus has stolen my stealth black one. Cheap and waterproof. No internal pockets or anything, but it is only £22.50
  21. I only started riding at the age of 39, so can't help on the parent front as such. That said, I'd echo what the others have said. Just reassure them. I have a CBF125 which I am happy enough with. You could also point out that something like this is a sensible, non-sporty, choice. Not that a sports bike is more dangerous, just that it makes it look like you are not putting speed at the top of the list. This may make them perceive it as safer, and you as more likely to make the choices they would like.
  22. Lol Like that
  23. Cleaned and oiled the chain, did an oil change and swapped out the spark plug for something that might run a bit better given most of my commute is at 8000+ revs. After that I thought I'd do a run to get petrol, just in case anything was off and needed adjusting after that. Completely forgot about using the back brake!! Doh. Had thought I'd make a conscious effort on the next run, then fail miserably. Must keep trying lol
