    Running out of fuel...

Don't forget that the figure quoted is the tank capacity, usually the funnel down to the tank can hold 2 litres.. you'd have to be right on empty to achieve it though.
  2. I'm considering a fly screen for my Bandit which features twin dominator style headlamps. Has anyone had any experience with these: http://www.justbandits.com/shop/product ... ry=related http://www.bikefactors.com/DOMINATOR-FL ... 17560.html http://www.bikermart.co.uk/proddetail.a ... =SCRUDOM01 http://www.justbandits.com/shop/uploads/images_products_large/553.jpg To be honest it looks like the same screen at varying prices. Now.. does this detract from the naked style look that I love about my bike? Will it add the functionality i'm looking for i.e. force some wind over/round me on the motorway? Looking for any kind of input

    Running out of fuel...

I've run mine til it stopped once. Had the tank on reserve the whole time.. when it coughed i went to switch it.. 5ft later.. out of fuel I got a fuel can delivered to me and chucked it in.. .. off i went with no ill effect.. wouldnt want to keep doing it though just in-case i was lucky that one time. On that note I did it on my old CG more than once and it was always fine.

    Tools

No good though as the largest socket is only 19mm apparently and that is like 5mm too small for the largest nut head on my bike and the next largest being 22mm. It looks like a good all rounder but i'd rather spend the extra for less parts and get the £99 set with up to 32mm socket. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... QAWidgetID I think that will be my next purchase after pay day!
  5. I have an iridium blue visor and a clear one. If it looks like rain I just use the clear one. If it looks clear then i'll use the iridium and take the clear one with me. The times I travel to and from work I end up riding into the sunrise on the way to work and into the sunset on the way back so it does come in handy!!
  6. Well I hope you had a good time I've decided not to post tentative availability until my bike is tucked up safely in my garage
  7. Doesnt sound like fun.. why are you thinking of giving this a miss? I'll call the guy and see how my bikes doing at some point today
  8. That's what i'd do to.. i'll only know at the end of the week.. at the moment it's bleak.
  9. I do wish you all the best though and hope it all goes grand!
  10. Thanks lewis; I dropped it off at an Auto-Electrician last week to fix the brake light and he's done that and the indicators. He's a good chap and is going to replace my oil cooler hose while he has it so i've left it with him for a while.
  11. I'd have liked too but I have a year anniversary meet to attend.
  12. I may join you Neil providing I have the bike back Itching to get out on a meet.. but at the same time want everything on my bike working properly

    Any ideas??

There has to be something draining it as that is an usually short amount of time for a battery to last. You have any other auto electricians you can take it to? I'm sure that the other ones must have agreed that it's going flat a little to quick? How can they say that's normal?
  16. screw it i dont have to be there all day, i will come along on my own!! i'll try and be there at 12 by the short track circuit?? .. i may cycle as I dont want to try and move my car through those queues!
  17. No bike Hose is on order so won't see it til next week now I'm debating whether to come along in the car?
  18. thank you
  19. I voted Sunday. I'll prob only come along if my bike is back by then though i reckon
  20. Where is that thread, i've looked in Southern meets to no avail.. looked for something with bmf in the title...
  21. Speed for me is not a problem.. depends on the distance and date as i don't currently have the bike in possession. I've arranged a couple of meets before for cars so if you need any help with anything i'd be happy to lend a hand... even if it's just to bend your ear to make it a bit closer to where i live Maybe i'll add myself to this map.
  22. BMF This Weekend
  23. How can East Anglia be Southern? I assumed Midlands originally from the sections available!

    Speedo Stopped

Are you sure the drill looking end isnt looking like that because the cable has snapped? I thought similar thing when mine went for the first time Cost me like £10 fitted it myself and job done!
  25. Could be a couple of things. Not connected. Bad connection. Faulty sensor. Well that's where i'd start at least Edit: i'd probably check the gauge although these are usually the last piece of a puzzle to make sure it's not stuck etc.
