  1. Thanks very much guys! cant wait to get a big bike now! im looking at the GSR600 or FZ6 possibly. would love the street triple but bit out ofmy budget. I did my training on the 650 Bandit, loved the sound and comfort of it. inline four sounds lovely! first day was on the ER5, didnt like it at all. Bandit was so smooth. Thanks again guys! in the mean time i will enjoy shopping around! because i can now!!
  2. Did four day Intensive in Shrewsbury with both mods on 5th day! Passed!!!! Tough going but the relief and happiness I felt after was all worth it! brilliant experience!! Let the the shopping commence!!
  3. a few little questions really, wth my test in mind. when im approaching say a roundabout in slow traffic am i wrong to have both feet down? i find im a bit wobbly with one foot up covering rear brake and other dragging. what does everyone else do? and is having both feet down going to get me minor faults? thanks guys.
  4. i have the paper and card licence. is that sufficient?? passport takes ages to update doesnt it??!!
  5. Hi guys, ive had my bike a year now,its a CBR 125 '12 plate) it had a service in December.ive probably only put just under 1000m on it since then. would it be an idea to get it done now? or leave it a full year? im not at all upto scratch on trying to change oil n things yet. i would like to learn however in the future.might try tightening chain sometime but thats as far as i would go at the moment. sorry guys! only been biking a year! bear with me! Thanks.
  6. hi, well its the closest centre that will take me on the week im off work. due to staff shortages its difficult for me to get time off see. i think i will ride there, good practice. have to pay for hotel for four nights also (which is why im on my bike daily now! i just want to nail it all first time haha. (doubtful) but have to try n be positive. which is difficult when you are me Postive Mental Attitude! as they say hi, that must be torture!Welldone though! what a feeling! i bet you are dying to get back on two wheels in this weather! good luck with your search! will be so rewarding when you hand over that cash and ride away on your new bike though! good on you! bonus if its already lowered for you too! i think the FZ6's are low anyway arent they. cant wait to pass and start scouring the market!
  7. Thanks very much for the advice guys!much appreciated! will be on the bike most days now, so hopefully riding time will help with confidence too. will keep you updated on my form!
  8. im panicking for some reason when i reach junctions! how do i best set myself up on approach?! because im panicking i either wobble to a stop or end up stopping way behind the line! im also coasting to the line in first gear if i think i may stop. really getting me down and its making me nervous everytime i sit on the bike.over thinking it i guess. help!!
  9. Hi Miss Bex, Thanks for the advice! much appreciated! doing 4 days. the guy even said he might try n fit my mod 2 in on same day because im travelling about 80m from my home to do it see. hopefully i can nail it! i'm annoyed ive had my bike almost a year but only really been riding it consistently since booking my training. will ride it everyday now. junctions and u turns need work and general confidence that will come with riding. did you pass it all first time? ive been looking at the xj6n!(for when i pass) looks like a nice first ride.hornet, gsr 600 and fazer look good too.(im a short arse see )Have you bought a bike yet then? i have a cbr 125 but wish i went for something a bit more upright now for learning.think he said i will be training on a bandit. Thanks again Bex.
  10. Cant get time off work until then. is a bit annoying, gives me more time to get a bit more confidence on my 125 i guess.
  11. Well done! Yeah enjoy it like the others said and relaxing is key, also, sounds silly but breathe! Don't snatch at the front brake either (like I did) went flying, so did the bike.no staring at you front wheel, look where you want to go and the bike will follow. Don't be afraid to ask silly questions either. It's all learning! Have fun! You'll be hooked once you get out on the road!
  12. Just booked my course! So chuffed! Nerves settin in already! Be on the bike everyday tip then now I reckon! Wanna nail this so bad! Lovely bloke I spoke to at the centre. Lovely evening for a spin I reckon!
  13. Hi all! im new on this forum and new biker too.i completed my CBT and theory a yr ago now and have been getting some practice in and gaining confidence on my CBR 125 recently. few things to brush up on, but im looking to do an intensive course for my licence now before winter really. they dont do them near me, so im thinking to go to shrewsbury and try it. is it wise to go where im not familiar with roads there do you think? im thinking even if i get my Mod1 sorted then if i did struggle on Mod2 there i could just take it in my town with the local school? thanks guys.
