  1. Did mine in November 2 years ago. I had to get wrapped up for the ride to the test centre but it was dry and passed first time.
  2. Its mainly just the weight and brakes being sharper that's the main difference. Unlike the old two strokes I used to ride you can give these 600's a bit of stick before they will take off and have you trailing behind like superman
  3. Yeah they do. Type in motorcycle half covers in google. I found plenty on the US Amazon site but at a quick glance can't see any on the uk site. You should be able to get them somewhere else.
  4. They aren't just some regular hi vis they are designed to look like police vests. I can see why a push biker might wear one, rightly or wrongly, because they need to keep idiots from hitting them and fooling people although wrong could save their life. But there is no need for a motorcyclist to wear one imo. Buy a regular high vis and don't look a tit
  5. Think the fact people wear them purely because it says POLITE on them and they want to make people think they are coppers is the issue. Nothing wrong with wearing hi vis but come on these take the piss. A few horse riders near me wear them and they also have the matching chequered band round their hats too just to make them look even more than police. One woman even has a ponytail that just so happens to cover the T. First time I ever saw her I was sure she was a copper doing a local patrol on a horse. No reason to buy these over the other hi vis jackets other than to be a prat imo
  6. I did it on a 125 a couple of years ago but the owner of the training school would take you out in pairs or solo for a 3 hour lesson. I booked a 3 hour lesson before my test to help iron out any problems. They do pay as you go schemes as well as 4 day courses. With mod 1 training at weekends. Its worth looking round and finding some place with flexible training if you cant commit to a 4 day das.
  7. I found mod one a lot trickier. It felt more of a test. I reckon I could fail it if I tried it tomorrow. Mod two I had nerves but they don't affect you as much as when you have to do slow manouvres round cones.
  8. It really felt like an achievement for me. I'd rode for years and did the old part one around 89/90 but never got round to doing part two once I got my car license, It does feel daunting all the different bits and bobs you have to do these days. I remember nervously walking into the theory test place. On my mod 2 I had two blokes follow me in a car.I was bricking it. Well worth it though and you feel you've really accomplished something. The old tests were a bit, meh any old mug can pass.I don't think it was possible to fail the old part one and the tales I heard of part two made it sound even easier. Grats btw.
  9. Been living in notts 10 years now.You can get some nice places near the city.A lot of nice areas on the outskirts. My other half was from Mapperly which was nice but she lived close to St Anns which meant all the criminals had easy access to our road.Got Burgled once. But if you move further away up Mapperly plains road its a bit further out and near the countryside. Places like Burton Joyce,Lambley, west bridgford are nice. You can also move a junction or two down the motorway towards Derbyshire, which is where I live now. There are rough places like any city but its not that bad tbh as far as cities go.The city centre is good and as long as you don't live in the areas notorious for drugs or chavs you wont have any worries.
  10. I just had a moment of stress and thought I couldn't turn left because of some reason I cant explain to this day so I went straight on. I passed though and maybe if I had turned left I could have then made some mistake and failed. So maybe it was fate that made me lose my marbles for a few seconds. The test is easy really but nerves can be the thing that let you down.
  11. I was shaking a bit and wobbling around the cones. But I passed first time by the skin of my teeth. I think you have to go with the attitude that you can take it again and it doesn't matter if you fail. I kind of had to pass because I was running out of time before the law changed and could have only probably squeezed one more attempt in.Which made me more nervous than I thought I would be.
  12. I took a wrong turn and we had to go back a different way. Passed me still
