  1. Good luck TC. Sure you will be fine. Medical profession seem to be top notch when it comes to the heart. My mam has had a triple heart bypass and to be honest if you didn't know you wouldn't tell. My father's also have heart attacks and still going.
  2. First thing to say to OB when they turn up after you've chinned him is "You were scared for your life and that of your family's"
  3. No need Stu love no need
  4. Just see who I'm talking to... The above all done whilst staying well within the traffic laws of this country
  5. Get her a little Peugeot 107 thingy. We have 1. Which appears to have become mine Anyway zero tax and you can rev the arse off them and pretend you're in a dodgem In all honesty. Round town they are superb
  6. Go to your nearest decent store n be a right royal pain in the ass. Spend however long it takes. Don't be rushed. Get an ill fitting pair and you will be in bits.
  7. It's all personal preference and what your budget allows Freezing. I have a pair of RST and a pair of Alpinestar. RST I use virtually daily commuting and find to be good value. The Alpinestar were a bit more expensive although same design and spec ish and tend to use more on the very very rare occasions I'm dicking about on the bike.
  8. I was being polite Stu..
  9. No experience of those boots. But I will say if you look around hard enough for 20 notes more go for the RST tracktech. I'm with Mr w on this one.
  10. BUMPY is a registered charity which facilitate work with under privileged kids via the use of trials biking. The instruction side is run separately but from the same premises. You are best off giving them a bell or calling round even better. Caroline the owner is a lovely woman and will help in any way she can. They aren't a business which are going to rip you off. If you think it will help. Tell her you've been speaking to Neil (big lad wi shaven head ) with the twins and the VFR. (My lad has done a course there)
  11. Just don't rush it Liam. And don't get dis heartened. We've all been there.
  12. Another thing. Ask to be taught by Alan. He only works part time now as he's semi retired but he's a top bloke. Also Chris. He's a good instructor too.
  13. I used to make a point of still riding in the bad weather (don't now). Just to get confidence up etc. Don't over think things though Liam.
  14. Well booked a premier inn. Ellstree/Borehamwood. Reasonable price too So any recommendations for a decent child/OAP friendly boozer in the vicinity for the Saturday tea time/ evening give us a shout.
  15. Hello and welcome to the forum. Pop over to the newbie section to say hello. Now then. CBT. I recommend BUMPY. It's on the birstall/Morley border. Will take you around 30 mins to get there by car but can be done by bus via batley as I recall.
  16. Congratulations. Enjoy her.
  17. Cheers six. Quite moved by that
  18. I know mate. Spent far too many nights in premier inns over the years They can be a soulless at times tho I find. The worst one we ever stopped in was in Hatfield for an away game in St albans. It had only just opened and was in the middle of an industrial estate as I recall. We had also cocked up our mileage estimates and it must have been bbest part of 20 notes to get to St albans in the taxi This was a good 15 year back too. Bar was in the reception. Only good point. We asked on the sunday morning how to pay for breakfast. Young lass says to 6 northern football fans pay after you have ate on the way out. Needless to say. Fire escapes both in and out were utilised As I say a long time ago......
  19. Cheers chaps. We are going to book a hotel on the outskirts or even luton area. That way its just a short ish hop to the game on the Sunday. All we need is a couple of decent rooms and a decent boozer within a short taxi ride and we are sorted.
  20. Yes Six. Town are my home town club. Followed them all over the country on and off for 30 odd year. We have never been Wembley in 105 years existence The rugby club played there twice in the 80s and I was there both times then.
  21. Cheers Josh. Yes the old boy is definitely too old for a sofa. Just been looking at premier inns near hemel hemstead. Cheap as chips really. 2 rooms for 80 notes. (One of the lads is also coming down on the sane trip. The rest of them are going down on the friday )
  22. I actually think Klopp will do a really good job at anfield and was made up for them beating the **** in the uefa.
