If it was just during the day I would say its parents lack of discipline but if their waking during night several times and as their 3 years old it might be Autism or other similar Learning Disability. Due to the wide range of spectrum of Autism and Aspergers it can only be looked into once children reach rhe age where there development os more able to be compared to other children. Sadly you do have to persist with doctor to look into it as it is still a specialist area.

     


    I sort of agree with this, however.... What happens when the kid wakes up? do they get lots of attention? do they get given a drink and a cuddle with Mummy? do they get food?


    If the parents answer yes to any or all of the above then they need to stop.


    Kid wakes up and knows if it screams it gets attention, if the parents stop that behaviour, Kid wakes up, knows screaming wont do any good so drops back off.


    Kids are smarter then we give them credit for and we seem to be too quick to look for an excuse as to why they behave the way we do, if we can come up with ADHD/Aspergers etc then it takes the blame away from parents who dont want to admit that they could have done something about it.


    And im not saying that no kids ever have these disorders but they are just rarer then people think.

    I have 3 kids and none of them scream or have meltdowns.

  2. I have the Richa Mugello jacket, little bit more than your budget however it comes with a decent back protector which is worth the extra if you can stretch to it.


    Been very impressed so far, it's got vents that zip open front and back to allow a cool breeze through and a removable thermal liner for when things get a bit colder.


    i have the black and white one, but it is also available in just black.


    Really comfortable on and off the bike, leather feels good quality.

    But on a serious note, a lot of it depends on how you bring them up, do they do anything when they start screaming or just leave them to it, if the kids get away with it then they don't know its not acceptable to behave like that.


    If it were my child and they had a melt down like that, i would calmly say that if they carry on then they wont get anything and they can then sit in the corner until they stop.


    If the parents don't do anything, the kids just think its okay to do it and carry on.

  4. how often do they do a bike night down in poole? might make the trip down there one day

     

    Once a week through summer, every Tuesday evening from about 6ish onwards.


    Lots of bikes go down, its good for a quick stop and gander.

    I often use it as a start point for a ride out, so head down, hang around for half hour while grabbing food/staring at bikes, then head off somewhere for a blast. :) Only managed twice this year so far due to other commitments.

    I'm interested in what this could be? i already have a safety device, it's called my brain and i use it to tell me to not touch the exhaust after I've been for a ride. Worked for me so far!!

  7. Depends on the job and the car, i can do a service on my bike relatively easily, however i helped my neighbour do just an oil change on his ford focus, and god damn it i couldn't believe where they put the filter, felt like we had to take half the engine bay out just to get access.


    I find it a lot easier to work on bikes but that's only because i can actually see what i'm doing as opposed to cars where everything is in there somewhere, and if i just reach in and dislocate my wrist 5 times i might be able to get to it.

  8. I live just round the corner from a primary school, i get loads of the kids admiring the bike when there on route to school, lots of them park down our road as its easier than parking out the front of the school.


    Always nice to get a friendly wave from a few kids and there mums, although some of them look at you like your the devil for riding a motorbike. But hey ho some nice looking mums out there too which always brightens my day before i head off to work. :)

  9. This is probably the best bet, i imagine your fluid needs flushing so doing both at the same time is worth it. I recomend a pipe that stops air being able to go back up the pipe mine cost me £4 totally worth it :D

     

    I got a warrior bleed kit from fleabay cost me £6 incl delivery comes with a one way valve to stop air getting back in, makes bleeding the brakes very easy. Company i got mine from was JJC race and rally, ordered a few bits off them and never had a reason to moan.

  10. Right then, time to review the M7rr's now ive put a decent amount of mileage on them.


    Not the cheapest tyre's i paid about £220 for a pair fitted to loose wheels, However they have filled me full of confidence, they just grip and grip, leant over they are nice and stable and they drop in reassuringly well and not too quickly for a sports tyre's, although if you give it a good shove it will drop on its side faster then a granny on ice.


    Have to see what sort of mileage I'll get i reckon about 4000 so far, but i cant recommend them highly enough :D

  11. Read reviews online, ask about among mates, ask at the shop whats been selling well. Find someone who has personal experience.



    Most modern sports tourer tyre will suit your riding IMO, if you want something a bit stickier then go for a sports.


    I opted for Metzeler M7RR's and am very please with them, not the cheapest but a very good tyre, just need to see how many miles ill get out of them, Gonna try Pilot road 3's next time i think.

A few years ago, after i split with my ex, i went over to try and talk to her and it ended in a massive argument, quite obviously raging i was speeding pretty much all the way home, late at night not much on the roads, most of the journey was fast 60mph A roads, however going through a town 30mph limit i was doing closer to 70, blue lights on behind me......me sat there thinking oh cock it theres a waste of money.


    Copper starts off "Have you got any idea why we've pulled you?"

    Me : Probably the fact i was speeding.

    C:was there any reason you were speeding?

    M: I've had a proper shit day and just had a massive argument with the ex, i just want to get home so i can have a beer and forget this day happened.

    C:starts long drawn out speech about what i was doing was dangerous blah blah.


    I stood there listening to him thinking just give me the ticket and let me go, he turned round and said well today's just got a bit better for you, we have no camera equipment therefore cant prove anything, so get home.


    i could have hugged him, however i shook both their hands and was on my way. :lol: Think he might have actually felt sorry for me as i had admitted i'd been speeding.

  13. Glad you enjoyed it, i love a good arms sesh when you struggle to put shampoo in your hair afterwards.


    The key to any good exercise regime is to enjoy it otherwise you wont do it, and remember just because you go to the gym doesn't give you a licence to eat whatever you want.


    There's a guy that works on my team and is really getting frustrated that hes not losing weight, i asked what his diet is like?? lets just say it wasnt the best, and his response was but im in the gym every day :roll:

  14. It will be tough but completely worth getting back into it, but just take it easy.


    You say you had a bench of 100kg for 30 reps which is pretty impressive, just don't expect to be able to do that now and don't get annoyed and give up.


    I'm a Trainer in my spare time but i find time to go to the gym 5 times a week, 30 minute workouts in my lunch break from my normal job and i get a decent weights session in. Just don't overdo it to begin with.


    Go in with a plan, start light and you'll progress quicker than you think you will.

  15. I havent got the Kreiga bags because of the cost, however i have a 20 litre and a 30 litre bag, i cant get all too much in the smaller one, so usually one supermarket carrier bag of shopping along with a pair of jeans and a pair of shoes is all that takes to fill it up.


    The 30 litre i use mostly for work as i can get all my gym kit (decent sized towel, toiletries, trainers,shorts,tshirt, water bottle) and my food for the day with a bit of room to spare.


    I'd say for quick trips to the local shops or clothes for a day or two the 20 litre will be fine, any longer than that you'll need the extra space.

  16. Simple fact is, if you burn off more than you put in you will lose weight.


    Simple answer to OP predicament; if you are happy with you size buy a new suit. If not, eat less. lol

     

    I do agree to the most part however, sometimes its not all about the amount of calories but the type of food,


    In the extremes if you eat 1000 calories of sugar, do you expect the same outcome if you eat 1000 calories of veg??


    Different foods release their energy at different rates which is where you get the GI rating(Glycaemic Index)

    which in turn will affect the body in different ways.


    To keep it simple:

    Eat lots of natural unprocessed foods, try and avoid processed foods.

  17. Depends on your current diet, but lets say you have a lot of the stuff you've mentioned above then yeah you'll see a difference, also cutting out alcohol will help loads.


    Like someone else said exercise will also help, even if its just half an hour fast paced walk every other day or after your evening meal.


    Not knowing what your current diet and exercise regime is its difficult to say what will and wont work for you, feel free to drop me a pm if you want a bit of advice i'm a personal trainer.

  18. Im really not sure.. it might have been M&P or sport touring. I went for the big kit with the 'gun' - rather than the smaller 'pocket' kit. Ive just seen that on Amazon.. for £27.68 inc post. but you can probably buy it cheaper if you have a hunt.


    the bigger kit with the 'gun' is about £10 more. and is something I only carry for touring or if Im going a fair distance and taking a bit of luggage. even if thats just a rucksack strapped to the pillion seat. mostly i just take my phone and would call rescue.


    it was handy being able to fix the tyre at home. rather than have the bike transported to a tyre place. the 800 doesn't have a main stand (yet) so.. i can't just take a wheel off.

     


    Cheers for that mate, I'll probably end up getting one next time i get paid anyway as its always nice to have.

    If your feeling flush and they do one for your bike i can wholeheartedly recommend and Abba stand!! Easiest and safest thing i have ever used to get my wheels off the floor.
