  1. So, after mine and Phooey's 750 mile round trip through Cornwall, here are (most of) the resultant photo's! Phooey should upload the ones I missed later on.

**Sorry, we didn't realise we were allowed to take the bikes that far down, so they aren't in the picture.**

So by my count, that is an additional 110 points! Phooey has 4 that he needs to post to finish off the Cornish group. Happy Biking!

  2. Honestly, this bike ia doing my head in today. I've fitted 4 x LED indicators and put the included relay in place of the original. Lights very dimly stay lit (all 4, all the time). I have 2 r&g indicator inline resistors. Do I need 2 more? One for each indicator? Will this make them work? I thought I could put 1 in the right circuit and 1 in the left circuit and this would be enough. Now with 1 resistor in the right circuit, and the new relay, nothing lights up. With the same resistor in the right circuit, and the old relay (for the conventional bulbs), when flashing left only the left stay on, when right, they all just stay on. Bit much more brightly than before. Any ideas? I only put the one resistor in to test the right circuit before I messed about putting the left one in and for it to not work. Thanks guys, WonderAve. Cbr125

  3. So yet again I'm here to ask you wonderful people for a bit of advice. I'm trying to fit one of those universal tail tidy's from eBay onto my CBR125. Thing is, it seems like I have to strip down the whole back end, from the tank to the rear. Then it looks like I'll have to saw the existing undertray, as it looks like it's one moulded tray with the existing number plate bracket. Are myself and Phooey doing something wrong or is this the only way? Thanks in advance, WonderAve:)

P.S. I've been about the forum just been lurking:)

  4. Indeed! However I'm replacing the whole system and I mean the flange which joins the downpipe to the cylinder head. I'm replacing because of a complete split round the downpipe about 2cm from the flange. Meaning i cant use the downpipe for leverage

  5. Hey all, long time no read! Hope you're all well. Anyways, been trying to change my exhaust this afternoon and the flange is stuck on! Bolts are out but is it just road holding it there or is there something I'm missing? Honda cbr 125

  6. So we've all seen ridiculous speed limits, but this!? Really? Imagine the thought process of the guy who put the permission for this in... Somewhere up near Coventry, found on my travels with midlifebiker today.

  7. Thanks guys:) Much appreciated! Was looking at around 55 so its a great saving! One question, what are the shipping times like for both sites? I need it here ASAP because I want to drill a few miles on them before the big Sunday trip (300 miles or so) at high speed. Want to have it worn in by then which means it'd have to be delivered and fitted by around Thursday or Friday to give me Saturday to pile the miles on at lower speeds. Thanks for your help:)

  8. First off, I apologise for the string of 'help me' threads, however... Help me, pretty please:( I just noticed while checking and correcting my tyre pressures that the inside of the tread on my rear tyre is cracking, I don't know anything about this issue other than, it definitely doesn't look healthy... in the attached pictures, the worse of the two is only in about 3 of the 'tread trenches' and the rest look the like lesser damaged of the 2. Replacement tyre?:( Or is there a fix (I hold no hope). Thanks guys.

  9. Hi guys, WonderAve here with a question for the gearingly gifted of you.

As I need to replace my chain very soon I was thinking I would go ahead and do the sprockets too. A 2 birds with one stone kind of thing. Then I thought, the little CBR does struggle with the hills and wind and whatnot. Plus i've had it absolutely maxed more times than I care to mention, thinking "I want more". I can't upgrade to a bigger bike for around 18 months yet as I'm 17 so I was thinking about customising the sprocket setup. I was thinking a straight lose one on the rear and gain one on the front. Any thoughts as to how this would affect speed etc? If I got 10mph top end speed increase how would this hinder the acceleration? Also, any ideas on cost? Thanks in advance.

Looking at this intercom system as I'm after a comm system but I cant warrant spending £100 plus for a nice branded one. Has anyone has one of these? All of the reviews seem good. Id be using it primarily as Mp3 speakers, then to pair to a phone, and hopefully every so often to pair to a similar device when riding with others. My question, as in the title, is this a 'cheap' system? Are there many flaws, bad build quality etc? Lastly can it be paired with the likes of seena or shark sets? Thanks all

  11. Hi all:) I have a CBR125R (2006) and its just developed a fault. I went to the shops (0.3m) and withdrew some money. By the time I got back on the bike, the speedo cable had stopped working. I've planned a ride for tomorrow morning and ideally need it fixed by then. Funnily enough we're meeting at a motorcycle garage. Should I just get them to take a look or wait and replace it myself? I know its cheaper to replace it myself but I really would like the confidence of knowing how fast I'm going on roads i've never been on before at 50mph:/

  12. First off I would like to apologise if this is in the wrong section. Secondly, what the heck is wrong with my bike!? I have a 2006 Honda CBR 12nd and It was stolen on 29th December and recovered 2 days later. Ignition wires cut and spliced together (drained battery?) and a little cosmetic damage. When we got the bike back I bump started it and took it for a long ride. No love for the battery unfortunately. I replaced the battery and re-spliced the ignition wires into the barrel. The splice is fine as it bump started with the key in the on position. However, even with the new battery, it will not start with the electric starter. Which is still in tact as when the bike is running and you press it, it ticks over. It sounds like a drain somewhere, 0 power when engine off, 40% when it's running. By that I mean that all electrics work but are dim and if I indicate or brake, the headlight dims further until that additional light is switched off. Anyone know anything about it? please:'( Thanks in advance:)
