  10. 145 can't remember where once I saw that I started a thinkin' what if ? that slowed me down. The Waterworks are my favorite on The TT course probably because I never got it wrong, can't say the same about the rest of the course. Had a great track day at Pembury on a Guzzi tourer, really Pi**ed off a guy on a CBR1000 as I passed him at the hairpin every time, rain...................................... a great leveller
  11. You need to ask ? You would be a fool to do it. You may not get caught, but you can't afford to get caught. Can you ?
  12. I will be there, Black Draggie with Royal British Legion Riders Branch Flag flying off the back. My 6th year.
  13. Will be at Oldbury British Legion for the Remberance Parade there.

    Pre Ride Checks

With ref final drive (shaft) oil level, refer to your handbook as final drive boxes have a level plug(bolt) somewhere on them. With this removed the lub should be level with the hole.
  17. Working on 14th, should be over there on 21st doing a bit of marshalling. Sun might be out by then
  18. Maybe there, have to see 'bout work situation. More info here http://www.bra-run.co.uk/
  19. I have a pair of leather trousers that I bought in 1986 (OK, my son now wears them) but they have seen only an occasional rub down with leather oil. To be honest they are about shot, but I don't think I could get that sort of quality these days.
  20. Weston Bike Nights restart this Thursday and have been extended until the end of september excluding 18th. Visit and see Westons newest tourist attraction !
  21. Been commuting from S. Wales to Bristol (40 mile round trip) for the last 10 years working nights, using a CBR600, Dragstar 650 and a Dragstar 1100 (not all at once) Good two piece waterproofs or textile suit (eg FT Aqua) Heated grips (Oxford hot hands) Handlebar muffs good boots 2 off thin neck warmers screen. Hot hands because they can be taken off easily, & when used with handlebar muffs you will only need summer gloves. Yes they look ugly as sin, but it aint a fashion parade. keep boots and suit waterproofed. Barn door of a screen keeps wind off and the crap that gets thrown up off the road. Service the bike before winter and after. Wash off with cold water (not warm as it will just activate the salt and cause more problems later) at least once a week, I can't be a r s e d to do it daily at 0700, as I want my bed. ACF50 I believe is good but not cheap. Mr Sheen is cheaper but you use it more often. Keep tyres at the right pressure. Ride smoothly no hard acceleration or braking, gentle on down shifts. Take care if riding in areas of shadow on the road as there may still be ice there, in autumn watch out for leaves (as slippy as ice if not more so). May not be the prettiest bike around after a few winters but it's better than being a fair weather rider anyday.
  22. Bout 50 odd bikes there, a good turn out as it started to rian at 6pm and pissed down for the rest of the night.
