  1. Got myself a pair of Puma Brutale's for £112 from J&S, RRP £179. One happy cookie.
  2. 2009 registration open 1 March. http://www.rttw.org/
  3. Sadly not paranoid. Seen it happen, it does, and that was someones 'best' mate. No further comments to make, you asked.
  4. As helmet fit is important I would not do this, if a mate would like a lift then he would have to supply his own lid. I used to give out my old lid for this, but in these days of litagation I will not and deffo not buy a lid just for that. I'm not saying any of your mates would sue you but kin of the deceased may get approched by an 'if there is blame there's a claim' types. This is just my opnion, if you don't like it feel free to ignore.
  5. Go for the new colours, gives it a bit of individuality.
  6. I think you have answered your own question here. Deffo not 2nd hand. IMO
  7. So I should have been dead 10yr ago, and I ride in all weathers year round. I might even ride in "risky stuff" whatever the f**k that is.
  8. Last time I was at the NW there wasn't a chicane near the pits ! Think of that atmosphere for a fortnight, every owners club has a meet at one pub or another somewhere on the island, some of the sights take some believing. eg Rode to the Laverda meet with a few mates, went in and got a drink when we came out there was a huge crowed around where my old mucker had parked his Corsa (Laverda not Vauxhall ), worried what had happened to his pride and joy he rushed over and barged his way to the front only to see two very nearly identical Black Corsas parked side by side, He didn't notice when he parked up, when I say identical same model, colour, year and almost VRN, *123 XYZ parked next to *124 XYZ. And that was the only thing different, no stickers added, RFL in the same place, even ran out the same month.
  9. Too right. The TT has to be done even if you only go once. btw, your avatar, Ramsey sprint ?

    charity bike ride

I have posted the link on The RBL Riders Branch forum. Good luck. Whilst your at it snatch a look at this http://www.rblr.co.uk
  11. Sorry MM, I didn't mean it to come over like there was only one annual road race on the IoM, but as you obviously know as a regular visitor, the TT fortnight is more than just racing it is an event in it's own right. As you go on to say with regard to tourism, if the Southern or the Manx were to be finished it would make little difference but the TT ending would plunge the island into ruin (excluding the offshore financial business). So long may the TT continue I just prefer the NW, also you don't get ripped off by the Steam Racket Co.
  12. To be fair about it the TT is a one off event each year the NW200 is just one of a series of road races held throughout the year (maybe the 2nd biggest of the year but one of a series all the same). Haven't been to either for 20yrs now, but want to get back to NI for the road racing sometime (used to marshall at Carrowdore).
  13. For carb icing I can recommend Silkolene FST. 650 Draggie used to suffer form this, 10ml per tankful of fuel sorted it.
  14. Who doesn't ? Only 5 weeks to go before my first 2009 Rally.
  15. Likewise, all part of the world domination plan Hope to see you on the road sometime.
  16. Fully understand the North/South divide thing ref road system, but Plymouth is not the captial of South Wales. To be honest I have little time for rideouts as it is.
  17. IMO Leave it as is, you wouldn't ask someone in London looking for a local rideout to trawl through Manchester rideout threads, would you ? Wales is Wales. btw. 6 of 9 posts (mod posts excluded) originate from outside Wales.
  18. Full time with access. But hey why have a bike and not use it. There are 7 days in a week.
  19. Sure the Kawa is probably more reliable and the sensible bike to get. Go for the Aprilia, if we all took the sensible route we'll all be in cages.
  20. Sorry I missed you Bill and Terri. It all got a bit manic on the day , I have never seen the car park at Aust so full. I was parked in an area that has not been used in previous years and the access road was also being used for parking. It took me 20 Min's to exit the services, after the bridge I rode most of the M48 solo as a huge group went direct into Chepstow, this I don't understand as the first year the ride went to Chepstow most participants moaned about the ride not being long enough Also this is now a public spectacle and gives the non-riding public a view of bikers you don't often see in the news. It must have been disheartening for those people who stood on a bridge for two hours waiting for the bikes to find 3/4 mile gaps. I suppose it depends if you do this ride for yourself or for the causes it supports and the good of the motorcycling community.
  21. Look forward to meeting you.
  22. Your not going to be on your own from here. viewtopic.php?t=13294 I think I should have about 20-30 riding from Magor Services, meeting at 0930 & leaving at 1000 for a steady trundle over Old Bridge to Aust. Most of group will be Legion Riders some Welsh Rideout Club and thaj from here, plus possible waifs and strays who passed test with Beacons View Training. You would be welcome to join us. Black 1100 Draggie with Legion flag on the back. My 6th year.
  23. Cracking vid akey, captured the ride and the moment at NMA.
  24. voted everything, though I did use the cage to carry display materials to Aberdare show, only because I can't get it on the bike (and I still working on that).
  25. As the event was so successful this year, it has already been provisionally booked for 10 Oct 09. I should be there, all things being equal. http://www.rttw.org/
