Fit a Scottoiler Holy crap what is this lizardry!? I've just YouTubed this, it looks so simple to install. My only issue would be it only seems to oil the outward facing side/edge of the chain, shouldn't you oil the whole chain? I'll have one available when I get round to removing it from my bike...

Nice bit of bogey green there! Not a fan but I love the orange, yellow and black ones. -

Hiya! Just spotted your reply, sorry! New petrol cap acquired and fitted now. To be honest I've never been a fan of union jack stuff so wasn't too upset. Just annoying to have a separate petrol cap key. And one of the ignition keys snapped trying to open the gubbed one, so I need to get another cut. Looking forward to getting it on the road though! Dropped the 125 off for an MOT half an hour ago so hopefully it'll pass and we can get it sold! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk -

Possibly a silly question but when connected to another rider, is the chat 'always on'? Or is it required to press a button to talk etc? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk -
Hi folks - I'm yet to pass the DAS but someone I know was selling their 06 Speed Four in black so I snapped it up. It needs some work but nothing major. First issue was that the petrol cap lock barrel had stuck shut/jammed so I spent a while yesterday removing that. A broken key and a big screwdriver later I managed to remove the whole cap assembly so I'll get a new cap ordered up. Question: will any 6 bolt fuel cap fit?? Here are a few pictures.. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160418/e572b2fc4b28f2da8431e9d837383a7f.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160418/fff291fd189c4b6b613ff7ddbd8cc5c0.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160418/7fc2575ee0d25d8395027cb508036c18.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160418/71cc8510a8799a25661171303cb4728c.jpg It's covered in rusty bolts etc but I'll spend some time finding stainless replacements. It may need a new chain and sprockets, but definitely needs a good service as it was sat outside for around a year. It runs great though!

Also worth noting that the "check and send" service rejects an impressive percentage of passport photos if you're applying in a Post Office with a photo booth... My girlfriend used the check and send service at her local post office and it was rejected by the passport office! Idiots!

How to keep visor clear when raining
funinacup replied to a topic in Clothing, Luggage, Accessories and Security
Been told rain-x can damage the plastic of the visor and not to use it. This was by the guy in J&S so perhaps just trying to get a sale on the stuff he had (which we bought anyway) -
Shower is already mains & thermostatic so can be switched straight over to combi boiler once it's in. We're a low usage flat in terms of water, and aren't likely to have the radiators on for prolonged periods of time, but need something that will heat the place in under 30 minutes as the current electric panel heaters are woeful.

Looking for some feedback about gas VS electric combi boilers. Our flat is a basement and fairly cold so looking to get this installed before the temp drops towards the end of the year. We currently have only electric. Hot water is via an immersion heater and we turn this on when going to bed for showers etc in the morning. If we opted for a gas boiler we would have to sacrifice a bedroom cupboard as it is the only accessible outside wall for the flue. This would also mean running the mains water from the current immersion tank into the bedroom, and supplying power to the cupboard to run the boiler. I'm thinking electric combi will be easier as it can be sited where the current tank is meaning less pipework changes (apart from the obvious flow and returns for the rads) and there is already power in there. Curious to know whether anyone has info about running costs VS gas. By going electric we'd immediately be saving the best part of a grand to have the gas main extended from upstairs into the flat. The flat is owned by us, but not looking to stay there for more than a few years, so ultimately not concerned about saving x over ten years. Any advice appreciated! Thanks Michael

Not so simple... Argyll & Bute: P1 to P7, then S1 to S6 Same thing. Think he was just suggesting which year of school it would be. I've always found our year structure very simple and friends from England always confused me when they talk about school years! I have to ask what age they were in each year to figure it out!

I overtake here and there but struggle if the car starts picking up speed and have to pull back in. Stuff like that makes me want a bigger bike...

All fixed now! The filter that sits over the tube at the top of the fuel tap was disgusting. Got a new fuel tap with filter, fitted and started right away. Also, measured the gap on the spark plug to be 0.9. Spec online said it should be 0.6 so bought an iridium one and now it starts with no choke, first press of the button and seems to run a bit smoother too.
-
Hi guys, Having a reasonably hard time finding the above part for my bike. Phoned round a bunch of garages today and most were really unhelpful. One woman said "sorry all fuel taps are different bye" [emoji52] I've been told this bike uses a similar engine etc to bikes like the Honda CG125, but my local Honda dealer want £36+vat for one that isn't in stock so can't check if it's correct or not. Any help would be appreciated as the bike won't run as the old tap is drawing air. Found a bunch of taps on ebay but again not sure exactly if they'll fit. Looks like this: http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06/06/f9158a791add963dd1328b952797036d.jpg

I reckon we did fit that part the right way but stripping again soon so will double check!

Think we covered them all but new to carb nonsense so who knows!
