  1. Update: New front tyre on and well scrubbed in by now! Front wheel bearing done but I'm sure I can still hear something from the wheel, much quieter than it was though. Rear shock leaking so bought a TT600 shock and sent it off to Brooks Suspension for a rebuild and powder coat. Should be back with me in a couple weeks then I can see about getting it fitted. How easy is this? I'm not bad with mechanicals but only have a rear paddock stand. I've done about 200miles since passing last week and have been getting bad carpal pain. Looks like the lean forward is hurting me wrists. I'm slowly getting used to the riding position and fine tuning it to take pressure off my hands, but I may look at doing the conversion to a bar to lift the riding position a bit. Will see how I go! http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160625/b587fe22ceb94bac6b8dce099cc57d60.jpg Mine with dads XJR1300 http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160625/ef3b6271894c582b9b69c2ce253f6778.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160625/3550252cfb5214cc55d74affce08bee0.jpg
  2. Most likely correct. If the OP couldn't stop or avoid then likely too fast/poor observations/poor forward planning.
  3. Do not enter a roundabout unless you can be sure your exit is clear. Your fault I'm afraid.
  4. Brilliant, well done! You got a bike waiting for you?
  5. Got a Triumph Speed Four. Had it a few months & been waiting to ride it.
  6. Thanks all! Chuffed to bits.
  7. Over the moon. Had an 8.30am test, in the rain, and more obstacles/hazards than I've ever encountered on a lesson! Typical. Passed with only 1 minor though. Super chuffed! Off to get my bike... Michael
  8. Dunno about Ipswich but at my test centre in Glasgow there are 28 possible test routes I could be taken on. Asking which junctions are hard is a bit of a difficult question to answer! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  9. Couldn't be bothered with sock liners! One more thing to remember/forget. Just get waterproof boots in the first place.
  10. My instructor told me I could have taken all my lessons and both tests on my own bike if I could get it to their premises and I had it insured. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  11. Got my resit on Tuesday. Failed first time due to putting a foot down during the fig8. Entered the slalom too slow and never corrected it, so when it got to the fig8 I was unstable when turning. Never again! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  12. Echo all of the above and well in for recognising it. I would point out the massive SLOW sign printed on the lane that you continued past also... Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  13. Just read through the manual and can't see a way to turn the sensitivity down..
  14. It's a system 3 I've got too and yes it is sensitive but I've never had it go off on its own, that said I keep mine in the garage. The main problems I have are it has a mind of its own sometimes when I try to enable/disable non standard features, like service mode for example Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk Mine goes in and out of service mode no problem with one of the fobs. The other is a bit temperamental. Will see about turning the sensitivity down a bit.
  15. Hmm this is worrying! The speed four has a datatool system 3 installed. It's working fine but it's very sensitive. Once I pass I'll have the bike parked on the street and I'm worried it'll constantly be going off. I don't want to turn it off as that kinda defeats the purpose of having a blaring alarm...
  16. Ordered a Conti Road Attack from Oponeo last week. Arrived quickly. Received my front wheel bearings and caliper seals. Rebuilt the rear caliper at the weekend - feels loads better. I'm going to have a bash at the wheel bearing next week hopefully. Going to have to fashion a lift from the joists in the garage to get the front off the ground... 17. Welcome mate. Where you based? I'm in Edinburgh but from Glasgow. Currently doing my training with Harleys. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  18. Passed it's MOT today! Well chuffed! Needs a front tyre and front wheel bearing (both advisory) Best sites for tyres?? Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  19. Bad luck mate. At least you know where you went wrong. Better luck next time!
  20. Hopefully you don't need them, but if you have to buy fuel connectors could you post the info on which ones. Suspect I'll need them on the speed four at some point.
  21. Whats this with everyone wearing gloves to do any work nowdays. I can't get on with wearing them. The sort you have just annoy me and rip so I end up taking them off and the thicker sort work have for us to use just seem to clumsy to wear. I am old school and can't be done with them. Besides whats wrong with dirty hands anyway. Its a sign of graft I don't mind dirty hands, but it's a pain to clean properly and I'm working in hospitality with coffee and food - customers don't want to see slightly dirty hands, even though they've been washed loads! So gloves solves it. Unless they rip but I'm careful. Can only use them doing certain jobs. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  22. New LED indicators, flasher relay and gear selector rubber grip http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160511/f5ccea4bd5c0c4b03feed5360d603e27.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160511/ee5e84fd5381b68f63a6213de4653cb5.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160511/af86938fb23766bbf2e9a88162940821.jpg
  23. These people need a reality check! Reminds me of the scam where people intentionally emergency brake for an insurance/injury claim.
  24. Haha, thanks for clearing that up! [emoji6]
  25. It's called Kermit too Whys that? [emoji16]
