Anybody remember the Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle (or SPV) it was a fictional pursuit and attack vehicle from Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's science-fiction television series Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (1967).

Within the hermetically-sealed control compartment, the driver, co-driver and a passenger are seated backwards, facing the rear, to reduce the possibility of injury in the event of a crash; the driver is aided by a video monitor displaying (vertically-flipped) forward and rear views.

i think, broadly speaking, you will end up like whichever side of the family you follow
it isn't good feeling over-weight on the other hand it takes will power to remove it
-
made me a laugh thanks (don't tell my brother, he's a real keen cyclist)
-
can you move the handlebars round a bit, thats how i dealt with wrist ache.
-
they seem as bad as each other - this shows that violence can escalate and backfire
just best to stay calm and avoid this sort of thing imo, doesn't do anybody any good.

any comments welcome
y/day got all my gear on, ready to go on 100 mile plus trip
bike won't start, just a little phut type noise, fuses are OK
change battery for a spare (good as far as I know) and fine
until...
57 miles on, wind the bike up, there's a backfire then dead
ring rescue as nothing, not even turning over after 1.5 hrs
where are those rescue people? I playfully try the bike and
it starts!!!!
cancel the rescue
stop at a pub then it stops again as I'm setting off, dead as
before
then, blow me down, it goes again after about 10 mins and I
slowly get home.
any ideas (XJ600) please?

have a nice time

good luck

cars don't interest me much so i go into a kind of auto mode when having to fix/check/service
like messing with bikes but only up to a point and providing there is some shelter/temps are OK
much prefer to ride than be in a car

oh i don't know - i guess it was part of stage two, the band and aftermath barbecue the next day
think we were supposed to stick to the wine and champagne after-meal stuff for the wedding part
-
well i''m back from the do - it wasn't actually that bad but the gushing sentimentality of the ceremony was something else
the bride's dad needed to control the ramble but there we are, luckily the following speeches were funny and to the point,
nice couple but that stuff ain't for me, fortunately, i eventually got talking to canny bloke who found some hidden beer
-
there is a band, heard the group, want to leave before they start
maybe it will be ok, - more used to the traditional wedding format,
this one says 'informal dress' but one could so easily get caught out
-
got to go to a wedding this w/e
not looking forward to it ,
6 hours minimum in a field/marque with porter loos
it is a new age deal, pick out food, bring your own cake,
couple actually getting officially wed day before!
we sit on hay bales and play games apparently
-
things have changed radically it seems, i can recall people joining the organisation i worked for who had effectively been the only applicant for the job
forward to now and .... all sorts of assessments, presentations, essays required before you can even stand a chance of a possible/elusive interview
-
wow - long enough ride without all that
-
take it easy KV, at first anyway
-
haha, had me fooled for a while

Stupid question ...

part of the handle hinge point assembly on most bikes i think, you will see the wires going to it from underneath, tiny switchy thing hidden away with a plunger that operates it. Looks like this:-
