Done 60 miles yesterday and went to Hexham today so another 80 miles under my belt, on every kind of road surface and weather you could imagine. Slowly getting a little more confident on roundabouts.
Aye it takes a while to get comfy hoying it about the corners but it does kick in eventually!

Take it through the tyne tunnel!! It is free for bikes afterall
no one told me this! .I was ready to stop and pay the 1st time i went through on the bike!

Passed my Mod 2 - Im over the moon
Sooooooooooo now for a bike, Im after something Honda Ish, a CBR or Hornet.

I did it a different way to the recommendations above.
I only carried out one lifesaver, Once i pulled away, providing i was within a bike length of my starting point i was trained that i only had to do a single lifesaver then get right into the turn, Use counter balancing to get round the turn in the space provided and keep my balance, clutch in as you are about to finish the turn and ta-dah! job done

Good luck mate.
Who you learning with?
Cheers, I'm with A1 in Gateshead - they are right next door to the test centre.

Best of luck, it's easier than the MOD1. Sat-nav in your ear, that's how to think of it.
Thanks, I`ll give that a try Got 6 hours training in-between now and the test so should iron out any niggles

Booked in for 14th - Got 6 hours mod 2 training between now and then so fingers crossed!

Get The F in!
Zero minors too, I genuinely believe if I had have been tested on my pre test practice i would have failed miserably!
Bring on the Mod 2!

I quit 5 years ago, used patches and lozenges as well as the group sessions through the NHS (Cheesy i know) but it worked for me.
Im 43 now and smoked from the age of 14 to 38 and i have never looked back, The money alone made it all worthwhile but the health benefits are amazing.
However, if you are vaping your are just masking the issue and you are still addicted to nicotine.
Good luck!

I love the line "bought for wife/girlfriend, worn once then changed her mind about coming on the bike"
Just won an auction last night for a nice leather biker jacket with that exact line in the description!! bargain as well!
-
Great responses thanks, looks like i`ll be needing both at some point but i`ll go leather for my 1st setup and go from there.
While im on, where do you buy your gear? any standard sites?
Cheers

Im seeing a lot of armoured textile jackets etc which all look the business however im unsure if they offer comparable protection over a leather jacket.
Any recommendations?
