  1. Hi all. I am moving house at the end of the month. Moving temporary to my gfs mums as we are sick of paying rent and need to save for a mortgage. The house I'm in now has a garage for my bike but he's mums house doesn't. I have to leave my Dragstar in the driveway which has now gates. I'm not to happy about leaving the bike outside all night but I have no choice. Do any of you recommend any certain Lock/Alarm I can buy? Or have any other tips about keeping the bike safe?
  2. No. I said that to him on the phone that it could be the idle screw but he doesn't know how to find it. I'm gonna go up tomorrow and try the idle screw. He's being riding the bike about 40 minutes 30 to 49 minutes with the choke on. I see someone said above you can ride with the choke on, I never actually knew that.
  3. Hi all. I give my brother my old Virago 125 after I bought bigger bike. He just phoned me to say that during the cold mornings he stupidly left the choke on and rode the bike the last few cold morning. Now he says when the bike is stopped at lights or whatever the engine slowly dies then cuts out. He says it's happening everytime he has to stop. I already give him an earful after telling him not to ride the bike with the choke on. Does anyone know what the problem with the bike is?
  4. Blade Runner, my favourite film and soundtrack ever.
  5. I've did that lol it doesn't seem to work. Like on my tapatalk profile it shows it but not on here for some reason. It only seems to show my age.
  6. I'm in Belfast. For some reason I've updated my profile numerous times but location profile picture and such never seem to show.
  7. Yeah I'm going to give it a go. I've ordered that book also, hard back version lol. I honestly think I'll be ok, it looks reltavielty simple. I always think this though then something goes wrong lol
  8. Have never even heard of a haynes manuel before lol, gonna check ebay now and see if I can get one. Thanks
  9. Hi all. Few questions from a complete amateur. Anyway, I love riding bikes but I am seriously useless when it comes to fixing things on the bike. I have bought new spark plugs, air filter and oil filter to put on my dragstar 650. I was going to get my local mechanic to do it but he was going to charge between £60 to £75 so I figured I will try it myself. It probably sounds daft but I take it this is all quite easy to do? I've watched a few youtube videos and it looks like I just pop the oil filter in and screw it back up, same with the air filter? Is there anything else I should be doing? Spark plugs, do I just unscrew them and put the new ones in or should I be looking for different things? Sorry if it sounds stupid but I am truly shite at this sorta thing, at least I think I am as I haven't tried lol. Cheers!
  10. Thank you. Sorry I didn't reply sooner I didn't think my post uploaded as it didn't show once I posted. I'll give it a go and see how I get on.
  11. Hi all, I'm 31 years old and from N.Ireland. I am putting my dragstar in for a service and I am wondering do I need to do anything to maintain the bikes shaft drive? Also I have lights on the bottom crash bar but one seems to have blew, the screw has well rusted and I can't get it off to open inside. Does anyone know by the off chance what sort of bulb this would take? I love riding bikes but when it comes to working on them I am pretty useless.
