I bought a Knox Aegis a few years ago. The same day I bought it I had an unplanned dismount and slid backwards in to a metal post. Anyway, worth every penny as I was able to get up, kick my bike back together and ride home.
Lucky man sort of

I won't ride without mine now...I used to just depend on the padded part of my jacket which I imagine wouldn't do very much
-
Comfort wise it's spot on and as for safety I don't think you will get any more secure than this... it wasn't cheap like £110 ish it fits under my textile sports jacket perfectly

No , don't bother with an alarm on your bike, going off for no reason drain your battery waist of time... spend your money on getting your garage alarmed .
Madness the things you have to do to have a bike and keep hold of it!

I'm leaning towards a second ground anchor and another chain
-
Is it worth getting a alarm fitted if so which one? I have a ground anchor and oxford hardcore chain and padlock... plus I have a oxford alarmed disc lock thatcham aproved

that's exactly what I did in j&s motorcycles the other day very frustrating I'm not really thin I'm 6,5 210lb I just have rediculously long arms haIf you're tall but not so chunky, I feel your pain. I have a little ritual for trying on jackets; hunching over to see if it sags too much at the belly, moving my elbows back to check if it pinches around my armpits, then finally throwing up a couple of heils to the fuhrer to check the sleeve doesn't ride up too much when my arms are extendedBeing serious though, I bought a Held jacket for my wedding and the fit is pretty darn perfect, so I'd recommend giving them a look. Oxford stuff seems to fit pretty well too, but I can't recommend their waterproofing
If in doubt, try to aim for stuff that has lots of adjusters! My winter jacket has adjusters at the waist, chest, upper arms, lower arms, and wrists... Something like that is probably your best bet. Well, or you could buy one you like then get it tailored
