Well new fridge is in, annoyingly measured height and width to make sure it fitted but momentarily forgot we live in 3 dimensional space, so although it fits it sticks out 2 inches further than old one making walkway to back door a bit narrower than before, that said tbh if I had checked beforehand I'd have probably just said f**k it that will do

Went for American style as was previously forever running out of freezer space, now that all my frozen goods have been binned/cooked it looks extremely pitiful with just an ice tray sitting in it.

Probably just bad luck but I would atheist check the wiring on said circuit, make sure it's copping.

 

Wiring got inspected recently, rented property and landlady is a really good one for a change so all that, gas, heating etc... Checked yearly, think answer is just bad luck.

So after spending over £500 for a new one today opted for £7 a month insurance, now I'm paying that I guarantee it will never die until I cancel it.

 

(Just my opinion) cancel it. That's £84 a year, and if it dies in the first couple of years you would have a pretty reasonable case using the consumer rights act to get it sorted. I'd say it's worth a punt.

I bought a printer 4 years ago and being fed up with ink costing more than the printer I got an 'unlimited ink' option where I pay £3 a month and when printer runs out of ink they send new cartridges.

I used up the free ones with printer in 3-4 months and then put in the ones they sent (started billing then and if I ever cancel it disables cartridges) so around 4 years later how many cartridges have I ever received... None this is still original ones they sent...

Missed the short race, forgot times were an hour ahead and turned on an hour late trying to juggle snooker, wsbk and wtcr this weekend.

What's a kitchen

It's like a female garage, got drawers with tools in, cupboards with degreasing agents in, a parts cleaner, a smaller version of powder coating oven (which I've been reliably informed must never ever be used for powder coating and they f**king mean it).

Over past year I had the following die...washing machine, microwave, oven and fridge freezer...

The fridge freezer I replaced was 2nd hand from brother but not that old and very good condition, but went to cook a frozen pizza last night and ended up peeling plastic off the soggy dough

Fridge freezer totally packed up, last time was just freezer section and fridge was ok, this time both packed up. Milk is now in garden as it's colder outside.

So needing one urgently just bought one on ao which was slightly more than elsewhere but will be here tomorrow, but then cost an extra £40 on delivery, removal of old one and a charge on taking packaging away

Really beginning to think kitchen is cursed. New washing machine started to clunk lately as well but 2 months left on warranty so hopefully will be able to get that sorted before year runs out

More importantly would it stop an endo? Asking for a friend

yep they should eat more biscuits

Never seen them tbh, I will admit I'm not so stubborn as to discount them as putting chocolate on things is never a bad idea.

Malted milk no.20 (out of 21), garibaldi no.17 so much much better

I do the VW sign quite a lot when I'm on the road, however being safety conscious I only ever use one hand so just do the top part.

I had to stop last night as I had an overwhelming fear that I’d left my keys hanging in my top box. Turns out I hadn’t, but was a bit worried for a couple of minutes.

Think I've lost / forgotten things plenty of times, have done similar with top box and only after I got off bike to check remembered top box key is on keyring next to ignition key I just pulled out

Also everything goes in specific pocket so I tend to notice things missing, but did get back on a train to search carriage for my phone after I noticed it weren't in pocket as I was getting off... Didn't realise until after I told person I was on phone to that I can't find it

To be fair, I do quite enjoy a Farleys Rusk when I get the chance. But you do get odd looks when you buy them without being a parent!

Personally don't think password policies etc... work, forcing users to make secure passwords just ends up with them being written down.

Two factor authentication is much more secure than any passwords will ever be, very easy to implement and a lot of software options available now removing necessity of the old hardware tokens.

One such site I host users can use a 'insecure' password but when account is created a QR code is scanned by user using Google authenticator (or similar), this then produces a random 6 number code that is changed every minute. To login user has to add this number onto the end of their password. No need for them to write password down and if phone was ever lost the 6 digits on their own are useless.

Not condoning piracy but can understand when sky etc... are charging such ludicrous prices, I can imagine broadcasting rights for F1 are not cheap but does it really cost 4 times what it costs Eurosport for everything that broadcast.

Personally haven't really watched F1 since it moved to sky. I've been Silverstone to watch it years ago which was brilliant atmosphere and unbelievable just how much noise they make, but on TV I barely used to stay awake a whole race anyway

Mid Feb was in car and noticed in the other lane a line of bits n bobs and then what looked like a wallet, was contemplating turning round when I noticed a young chap on a bike riding slowly back along towards said items no doubt his belongings.

He had a small backpack that was wide open down one side, hopefully he got the important stuff picked up.

That is fascinating! Basically 3 or 4 unrelated words spelled nor alley like "bicycle spits mad fire" is thousands of times more secure than P4s5w0rd@

Simple mathematics... Most common password attacks are dictionary and brute force.

Dictionary is as it says an automated system will try all the words in dictionary (and some other combinations), until it gets a match hence any dictionary word is as weak as you can get even a ridiculously long one.

Brute force is trying a-z,0-9, all the special characters one by one, using letters alone ever letter extra is 26 times more combinations. So just by being 9 characters longer difficulty is going up exponentially. Add a capital letter randomly and that is 52 times more combinations per character, numbers make it 62 times a character etc...

Also dictionary attacks tend to adapt though, when capitals and numbers became the norm dictionary lists expanded to capitalise first letter and to add a single number at the end as most people who used 'password' just changed to 'Password1' so wouldn't be surprised if they adapted to trying 3/4 different words together as despite dictionary going up it would still be much faster than brute force.

Simplest answer to that is throw in numbers and special characters inbetween, don't capitalise first letter and misspell the odd word e.g. motabike#spitS&firre

Touch wood never lost anything from open pocket, did go through a stage of leaving house keys at work though and not realising till I got home and 3-4 hour round trip to get them back or sit on doorstep for an hour or two. Ended up getting another key cut and kept it in wallet

I heard that last race, so just signed up to SkyF1, £10/month for 2 years. Cancel anytime.

Sounds cheap but put another way that's £120 just to watch 1 season of F1 (take it they will charge for months F1 isn't on still) when it used to always be free.

In comparison eurosports sub which gives me both channels plus extra streams for £30/year.
