Stage 1 High Wray, Coniston, Coast Road, Winlatter to brew stop at Bird Centre before Keswick. 66 miles, approx 1.5 hrs Stage 2 Bird centre, ontop a66 then cut down beyond Keswick to Ambleside. 25 miles. 35 mins Here is ideal to break off if you wanted to Stage 3 Ambleside, Troutbeck to avoid traffic, to A6 north then Pooley bridge 38 miles 47 mins, brew Stage 4 Pooley Bridge to High Wray via Ambleside 22 miles 30 mins Total 150 miles ish Total travel time approx 3.5 hrs plus brews so say 5.5 hrs max I reckon set off from high wray at 11.30 Bird centre at keswick by approx 13.00 Leave bird centre at approx 13.30 Ambleside for approx 14.00 Pooley Bridge by maybe 15.00 Leave pooley bridge 15.30 Home for tea 16.00-16.30 Would be ideal going the other way though, which would enable more to get access to teh ride easier i.e Leave high wray 11.30 Meet Kendal for say 12.00-12.15 Pooley Bridge by approx 13.00-13.15 (brew) Leave 13.45 Ambleside for 14.15 Beyond Keswick (bird centre) for maybe 14.45 (brew) Leave approx 15.15 Coast road and back to High Wray for 17.00

However, Miss Sparkle will be planting herbs such as chives, mint, coriander etc tomorrow and they should be ready to crop round about the last week of May. Thanks for Pm Simon I'll add you to the list. You are the first from TMB The are is great as a party point for most of the lakes. Last August's event saw us take in all of the five passes. Even many veteran bike riders were impressed and enjoyed the day. By all means plot some rides out. Last year we all went off as one group, though there was talk of people doing different rides at different times.

We had a brilliant weekend - bit of feedback Great weekend had by all Very Happy Thanks Michael and Karen for fantastic entertainment and excellent food, I don't know where ya get your energy from to look after a bunch of drunken noisy holiday makers Very Happy Whitey Washington I think I've just about recovered enough to post now Very Happy I had a realy great time, a big thanks to emmbee for organizeing it, and to Miss Sparkle for the excellent curry, it was well worth the 19 hours travleing I did to get there and back! It took me 8 hours just to get home yesterday, had to ride on the motorway with my visor up as it was freezeing over, and I couldn't see. Had to take a detour off the M6 aswell as it was closed. I got home about 11ish a bit wet, but not too cold. ROLL ON MAY Lynn Leeds It was a last minute decision for us to go but i'm ded pleased we did cos it was such a laugh, wish we could have gone for both nights. thanks to embee and karen who were great and such a laugh. we were well fed and entertained from our great hosts. highly recommended to everyone, its great i'm definatly going to the next one, infact put me down for all of them cos it was mint. Steve South Shields Well what can i say but a BIG thank you once again to Emmbee and Miss Sparkle for another well planned and executed lakes invasion with new recruits and few veterans alike of this high demand event that everyone should attend my name is etched on the next one along with HENRY who had a great time but had to keep him under control when he spied the sheep passing and the other wildlife but he was good and stayed put The axe murderer who killed the AXE ........yes you know who you are ........ will serve the punishment later for his deed once all agree on suitable punishment deemed by Lord Emmbee hehe also big thanks to MTP from us all for the log clearance we all were well fed and intoxicated once again and the roaring fire kept us warm even the surprise visit of the "VILLAGE PEOPLE" perfoming Y.M.C.A was a big surprise welldone Emmbee roll on the next one pics to follow once i get photobook sorted MadAndy Durham Hello all you party people out there. LOL Vicki but so will we. Log burning fire roaring in the room, all the lights up, music in the background, comfortable chairs, loads of sweets, nibbles, eats and drinks. I'm expecting to have to leave the doors open as the place gets that snug and cosy.
