  3. 172 miles, checked out some accomodation in Moffat for the Pan group the Balmoral Hotel with secure bike parking and reasonable prices very nice peeps, keen to encourage Bikers to use their place so if any of you can help promote them somehow......... . Discovered a couple of new roads (A707 Selkirk to Peebles is a cracker) and a B road that goes past Stobo Castle (mohamed Al Fayeds Spa for the rich and infamous), got Rob's radio working well for most of the day. Weather was a bit dull and got chilly towards the end but way better than we'd any right to expect at this time of year. Pics to follow, feeling a bit knackered
  4. Its OK folks the first post was a bit tongue in cheek, although I am very much looking forward to meeting up I'm checking out hotels for the Bikers Oracle Pan group "BOP '07 Mayhem in Moffat" and timing/recceing a route for the Saturday Rideout. I have a mate on a badger modded (good story) ZX6 who usually rides the twisties with me and I'll probably have quite a few of the local IAMs group along at least as far as Moffat, possibly the whole route .
  5. ah must be man flu vicki. One and only time I've been to Hawes the sewer at the top of the hill was blocked and flowing down the street , I managed to stop in time but me mate didn't and tried to get his B12 up onto the kerb and damn near dropped it
  6. Hartside, Hawes and Devil's Bridge are all within range for a day trip
  7. well seeing as you lot are heading in the opposite direction (do I have B.O. or summmat? ) I'm gonna take 701 Dumfries to Moffat then the 708 past the Grey Mares Tail and St Mary's Loch to Selkirk, pick up the A7 Selkirk to Gala, 702 to Peebles and back down the 701 to near the bottom of the Beef Tub before cutting over the Greenhillstairs road to link up with the B7076 then head onto the 702 at Elvanfoot and down the Dalveen Pass and home. is OK I'll take my camera with me and post some pics
